Statement on Admission & Accreditation

Students who have earned the bachelor’s degree at a regionally-accredited college or university in the United States, or its equivalent in another country, are considered for admission without regard to sex, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, age, marital status, handicap, or Vietnam-era veteran status. The University of Michigan-Flint recognizes all accrediting organizations which are classified as regional accrediting organizations by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation or from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The University of Michigan-Flint also recognizes degrees attained at universities outside of the United States that are accredited or approved by one of the regional accrediting agencies listed above or by the appropriate governmental agency of the country in which the institution is located. Other admission requirements are specific to the various degree programs.
