Financial status and incomes
1.) No map use at all. If you are caught using the map you will be suspended for 2 days.
2.) There is to be no seeking out cops during role plays they are busy enough. call in make reports or go through our dispatchers
3.) Don't 'stalk' other players. Sometimes the roleplay gets a little damp, which requires you to get into some unlikely social actions. However, refrain for getting carried away from whom you talk to. As in, don't get in a group of 10 people all deciding to walk on the docks at the same time, and coincidentally 'bump' into each other. it is not realistic and annoying. If you notice someone in a certain area by themselves or two, you can come up with some scenario to get interactive, but don't be a pest.
4.) No 'Player Overhead Display Names'. This is because nobody walks around or drives around with name-tags in real life. To turn the 'POD' off, go to the pause menu, go to online, go to options, scroll down to 'player overhead display names' (it should be near 'kill yourself $500), go over to 'none'. If you are found with this on during the roleplay session, any kills will be considered invalid.
5.) No Pausing at all. There is no reason at all why you should be pausing. The only people allowed to pause are the moderators who do map checks and invite people to the session. You don't need to invite anyone or anything so there should be no pausing.
6.) The only weapons to be used are to be purchased through the site. If you don’t have it purchased on the site and are caught using it, you will be suspended for 1 day. Weapons must be purchased through the ammunation store. if it is not listed it is considered illegal. However you can still get them in the black market our dark web markets. if found with illegal weapon by an officer you will be prosecuted.
7.) All cars must be purchased and registered through the ls dmv, you're allowed as many as you can afford. There are to be no upgrades at all. Don't fix cars like magic, either.
8.) All cars are to be left on 'Everyone' unless you are on your own personal property. Personal Property consists of your house or place of business that you have purchased and registered on the site..
9.) If you are killed by another civilian you have 15 minutes to call Fire/EMS or get to a hospital. (MEDICAL CENTER UNDER GOV TAB) If you don’t get medical attention within 15 minutes you are considered dead and must leave. The kill rule is first time you’re killed it’s a wound and you need to call EMS/Fire, the second time it’s a death and you leave the session. If a police officer kills you, you must leave the session for the rest of the night. THS RULE APPLIES TO EVERYONE NO MATTER YOUR ROLE
10.) Don't kill anyone unless it’s within a valid roleplay scenario.
11.) All civilians must be registered in the system before coming in the session. We update the system everyday so there is no excuse for why you haven't been registered.
12.) If you are seen in an invalid car, you are suspended for 1 day. There are no cut cards, no excuses, everyone was told and was acknowledged at the training session. If you have a DMV Unlimited pass, you are only able to use vehicles on the site.
13.) Roleplay Fear! This means if someone has you at gunpoint or knife point don't be superman and pull out your weapon. In real life, we all know you'd be dead by then. If you are walking down another gang/dealer's block and it's 6 of them and just you realistically if you don't know them or have beef with them you would go the other way. Nobody looks to get jumped, stabbed or shot. Be realistic. Nothing wrong with be fearful of a situation it will help build up the story for a later confrontation. Kidnapping is allowed in the roleplay. Once there's a gun towards you there's nothing you can do. Just go along with it and you'll be alright. If you are kidnapped and shot dead, it is not a wound, you are dead.
14.) If you are being chased by a police officer or civilian and you crash your car, like smacking into a tree or smacking into the wall, crashing every thing your car is considered to be too damaged to continue driving. You are to stop your car. In real life, imagine you doing the stuff you're doing on GTA. You'd be dead. Be realistic. Police officers are authorized shoot-to-kill for invalid people who should be dead by pursuits such as this.
15.) No advertisements. There are to be no advertisements of any crews, communities, or clans. Do not advertise anything on Discord or the community. If you do, it may lead to a ban. If it doesn't have anything to do with this roleplaying community, don't post it! Keep that to yourself.
16.) Freemode activities and CEO/MC/Bunker/Hangar activities will result in a suspension. The ONLY exception is for police trying to get the FIB Buffalo or the Crown Victorias.
17.) You may only purchase and complete jobs when there is 5 or more members in a crew session role playing. 2 of them must be gov workers
18.) APCs, tanks, helicopters with missiles and machine guns, vehicles with missiles and machine guns are all banned from the roleplay.
19.) Kidnapping is allowed. Once someone aims a gun up to you and you see a van or car come, there is nothing at all that you can do in that minute. If someone puts a gun up to you, you not gonna be super man. Once a gun is put up to your head, stop & listen. You can not leave the session and if you do lag out, you must come back to the scene.
20.) If there is a session, and every moderator and cop in that session leaves, the session is over. Anything from that point forward does not count until a moderator is able to join back.
21.) Don't ever go on passive.
22.) Don't go inactive for long periods notify an admin in your absence or fill out a leave of absence form.
We try to keep this as active as possible. If your account goes inactive longer then 30 days your access will be removed. you will need to fill out a support ticket upon your return, an admin will give your access back.
23.) Do not argue with an Admin.
25.) IF YOU ARE FOUND TRYING TO ORGANIZE AGAINST A LEADER OF ANY CREW AND OR ITS MEMBER YOU WILL REMOVED FROM GTAGOV.COM
Before you even begin role-playing, you have to know what age your character would be. Will he/she be a toddler, a teenager, a fully grown man/woman, or maybe a grandma/grandpa? Decide which is more interesting for you to role-play, but keep in mind that developing your character and aging him up in-game with time would bring even more fun and satisfaction. Sadly, it's a bit hard to role-play characters who are between the age of 1-10. You will need more effort and experience, so I highly suggest people that are new to role-play to create a teenager at first.
Was he/she born in the county, the ghetto or maybe Vinewood? You have to set a small story for your character — where he/she came from, who are his/her parents and how did he/she grew up. Was he/she treated bad in his/her childhood or was he/she living in paradise? You have to know the past of your character in order to keep developing his life in-Game.
What's the colour of his/her hair, eyes, skin-tone? What clothes does he/she like? Does he have any piercings, or maybe tattoos? Does he/she wear glasses or contact lenses, or is he/she perfectly normal in terms of vision? Is he/she fat or a maybe slim? Is he/she ugly or is he/she attractive? Does he/she wear any make-up while indoor/outdoor?
This is one of the most important things of all regarding your character. You have to decide what is your character's goal in life, depending on his past, childhood and the environment he was raised in.
Is he/she the romantic type who searches for relationships and sexual amenities?
Is he/she the type of guy/girl that would rather sleep with every second person in sight, or is he/she simply outgoing and likes visiting parties and enjoying life to the fullest?
Is your character a hard worker or would he rather risk everything in order to dive into the world of satisfaction by becoming a criminal? What's his/her source of income? Does he steal and then resell items? Does he/she work in the local store? Does he/she sell any narcotics, stolen cellphones, fake IDs, or maybe firearms? Is he/she a prostitute or simply a formal businessman/businesswoman?
Does your character dream of becoming a father/mother one day? Would he/she rather have a boy or girl as a child, or maybe both? Is he/she struggling to find a partner and eventually have children or does he/she think being a father/mother is something bad/useless/stupid? Can he/she afford being a parent and eventually raising a child? Does your character have the needed skills in order to be a good parent, if not — is he trying to improve, and how? If your character is a female, does she have any problems with giving birth?
Does your character seek knowledge? Would he/she rather stay at home and read books, instead of going out with friends? Does he/she go to the library often? What are his/her favorite subjects and what does he/she like reading? Is he fond of physics, business studies, citizenship, design and technology, history, geography, maths, languages, music, modern studies, religion, science, psychology? Is your character good in studying and if not — is he trying to improve, and how? What's his/her favorite subject? Does he/she go to school/university?
Does your character care about anything other than parties and having fun? Would he/she rather do pranks, hang out with friends and enjoy life, or the exact opposite?
What does your character want to be once he/she grows up? A movie-star, or maybe something else? Does he/she want to be famous or just work in the local grocery store? Does he/she want to be a criminal? Does he/she want to work in a large corporation, sitting behind a desk twelve hours per day, while having a busy life?
How does your character act infront of others? Does he/she reveal his/her true inner-self?
Does he/she treat others the way he/she wants to be treated? Is your character evil-minded or just likes making pranks? Does he/she want to conquer the world by storm or just be the local thug? Does he/she smile often and is he/she friendly towards others?
Would he/she rather surround himself with people he/she only trusts or is he/she outgoing? Does your character have a social life? Does he/she any friends, and if not — is he/she trying to make any? Does he/she meet new people often?
Does he/she giggle a lot, hehe? Does your character take everything seriously due to his/her life-time goals and past? How does your character react when he/she sees people that are "high" or simply outgoing? Does he/she accept such behavior and does he/she think it's fun? Does your character have any hobbies? Does he/she skip rope or maybe play football? What sports does he/she like? Is he/she even interested in sports or is he concerned only about his life-time goals?
Is he/she a couch-potato who spends hours per day watching television and playing video games? Or maybe, is your character interested in sports, being the active outgoing-type of a person? If not, is the laziness and lack of activities resulting in him/her gaining fat? Does he/she work out?
Does he/she take good care of his/her body and clothing? Does he/she take showers too often or is he/she usually stinky? Is your character fanatically obsessed with cleaning and is his/her home a perfect, sparkling paradise?
Is he/she suffering from schizophrenia or maybe other serious disorders? Does your character know he/she is suffering from these psychological problems and is he/she doing anything to solve/cure/delay them? How do his/her friends treat him/her if they know he/she is suffering from such things? Did your character have a horrible childhood due his/her psychological disorders and how did this affect his/her life in the future?
Is he/she religious? Is your character an atheist, or maybe fanatically obsessed when it comes to religion? Does he/she attempt to force religion onto any of his/her close friends/relatives simply because he/she deeply believes in it? What are his/her thoughts about life and evolution? How do his/her friends treat him/her after being informed regarding his/her beliefs? Does he/she believe in ghosts, aliens, witches, warewolves, vampires, chupacabras?
It's an average practice for criminal-minded people to follow The Omerta, a rule which originated from The Costa Nostra. Basically, this is a rule which disallows anyone who works against the system and the government (in other words — a person who does crime) to call any law enforcement agencies or people related to them for help. It's a highly respected rule in all criminal structures around the world, which is followed by every self-respected thug. Is your character a cold blooded criminal that follows The Omerta strictly till death or is he someone that would break apart and turn sides the moment when peoples' lives are at risk?
What's your character's source of income? Do his/her parents give him/her any money or does he/she have to work in order to get paid, in a legal way? Does he/she steal in order to survive?
As a member of the server, initiated or not, your main role in the Community is to basically create a realistic neighborhood atmosphere. We want to create a neighborhood filled with different kinds of characters with different kinds of personalities, not a bunch of robo-thugs that shoot anything moving with no remorse or emotion shown, this brings me to my point of character development.
Do not come around the Community with the mentality of recieving your rag, that's the wrong way to go. Instead, your main goal should be to just provide top-notch neighborhood roleplay and let your character develop through roleplay events.
Like I said above, your main goal shouldn't be to become a gangbanger, but to provide as much neighborhood roleplay as you can until your character reaches to that point which brings me to my next topic.
Your approach to members of the Community is very important and we take it into consideration. I can't even explain how much it urks my nerves when a random outsider approaches a group of ragged members like "Yo, wassup? My name's John, what about you?" Let's be real here, in real life you wouldn't walk up to a group of notorious gangbangers and spark up a random conversation, your approach should be unique. One suggestion I have is to roleplay by yourself for a bit, like going outside to fix your bike or washing your dad's car, or maybe even simply going to the store and you will eventually be approached. Think about how you met the current friends you have in real life, I doubt you all just walked up to them like "hey, whats up? I'm (insert name here)".
Another thing you have to decide is /WHY/ your character decides to hang out with these individuals which links to character development. Don't come with the typical mentality like "yeah, im 15 and i moved here from Liberty City and nobody loves me so ima chill with these gangbanging niggas!" No. I don't know why anyone in their right mind would want to hang with a group of individuals that smoke and get shot at everyday unless there's a good explanation for it, so revolve your approach to the Community to your character's background. Remember, when you come around the server, you're coming as a CIVILIAN, not a gangbanger. A lot of members also come around the server roleplaying that they're from somewhere else, you have to decide WHY your character comes to a drug infested and violent neighborhood out of nowhere.
When roleplaying, you must always remember that your character is a human just like you are in real life, therefore, you should always roleplay your character's habits, traits and emotions accordingly. Your character may be extremely afraid of riding BMX's because of a previous life-threatening accident he's been in, that's an example of a trait. I also expect everyone to roleplay those impacting and emotionally touching scenes to the fullest. For example, if your friend was shot right in front of you, you wouldn't go "damn, that sucks." and move on with your life like nothing happened. Or the first time you murder someone, that would probably scar you for the rest of your life, so you shouldn't shoot someone and be like "yeah, fuck him I just dropped his ass!", Especially if it's the first time.
I can't tell you how much it annoys me when members come around and they're just automatically made of money. Be creative, think about what you did for some pocket change at that age in real life. Don't just come around in brand new cars all the time with AK-47s and Glocks in your trunk like "yeah, my daddy let me borrow some money for all this". Do stick-ups, maybe your character sells weed around school from time to time, or maybe he steals cellphones and tries to sell them in the hood, it all revolves around creativity.
You must always keep in mind the financial status of your character. In many cases, children/teens who join gangs do so because they have no real means of an income. This means that anyone roleplaying a poor character should not be constantly seen wasting money on food and beverages, riding in fancy cars etc. No matter what that lump sum of cash on the top right hand corner of the page reads, make sure you roleplay your finances based on YOUR character. You may be carrying around 25 million dollars out of character, but if you roleplay a poor teen you should be struggling to fork out 8.5k for a Glock.
A great way to develop your character is to roleplay an inner group of "best friends". Your character will always hold some people in higher regard than others, so this distinction between your best friends, friends and acquaintances should always be at the heart of any decision you make that involves them. If your best friend is going to go get some food and your acquaintance is going to talk to the ragged members of the gang, your character would most likely opt to go with his/her best friend.
It is an absolute MUST for you to use your character's personal experiences to shape the character that he or she will become in the future. For example, if you want to roleplay that one of your parents was killed because of gang-warfare, your character might be completely against any type of gang culture. If your character has had a traumatic experience with knives, any time a knife is seen by your character we should be able to notice a distinct change in your roleplaying approach to the scene at hand.
The most important thing to remember when roleplaying with this community is that you roleplay your character realistically. It's up to you to decide on the backstory of your character, we will never try to influence your character's traits or background in any way. However, no matter what personality and history you give your character, you must roleplay these traits to the greatest extent you possibly can. The type of roleplay you want from the community will depend on the character you choose. If you would prefer to be a part of the hispanic street gang aspect of the neighbourhood, obviously hispanic members will be favored.
In a lot of communitys, there are severe criticisms of characters who literally just stand around like bots all day long. However, this is not completely unrealistic. Real people in real neighborhoods often just stand around hanging out with their friends, it's human nature. The problem with this arises when a group of people are standing around in Grove Street, not interacting with each other in any way. You should always be trying to socialise with the other members of the community. If your character simply wants to chill in the Grove Street area, make sure you are not standing idly doing nothing. You should always try to provide roleplay for the community. We realise that the generic options that are laid out for you get pretty boring, who wants to roleplay playing basketball every time they get bored right? We understand that it is difficult to constantly create roleplay, but we strongly encourage it because those who do their best to create roleplay will be the ones who stand out most when the ragged members of the community get talking
