Starting this next school year 2022-23 the O’Dowd Athletic Department is using a new athletic registration system, FinalForms. FinalForms is now OPEN and ready for registration. We are no longer using FamilyID. Everyone will need to create a new account with FinalForms.
Similar to our previous system, FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students. FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice. FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time. You may review your data at any time to verify it is current. You will be required to sign your forms once per year and after any update.
IMPORTANT- COMPLETE ASAP
Click on the Parent Playbook to get started in FinalForms. If you require any support during the process, scroll to the page bottom and click “Get Help”.
Everyone will be required to use FinalForms.
Please register at: https://bishopodowd-ca.finalforms.com/ and follow the prompts to create your account, create your students and sign your forms.
Once you have registered, your student will be on the contact list of our coaches, at that time you will begin to receive information on what to expect for the upcoming sports year.
From the best medical and sports medicine staff to help during the recruiting process, O’Dowd is there for your student-athlete every step of the way. Our sports medicine staff, lead by Head Athletic Trainer Joanne Kinyon MA, ATC, CSCS, are health care professionals who work under the supervision of Bishop O’Dowd High School physician, Dr. Murali Moorthy, MD from Muir Orthopedics. As awareness and research around concussions has increased in recent years, Bishop O’Dowd High School has instituted baseline testing with a program called C3Logix. This tool is used in our contact sports at O’Dowd as a baseline evaluation tool and follow up examination in the event of a possible traumatic brain injury. Select O’Dowd sports teams are baseline tested every year including football, rugby, lacrosse, basketball, soccer, and women’s volleyball.
This concussion management tool is used in combination with other evaluation tools to provide an individualized neuro-cognitive baseline and post-injury assessments. C3Logix results are read and interpreted by O’Dowd’s sports medicine staff.
Sports Medicine and Academic Support departments have collaborated to create a comprehensive program assisting students under a doctor’s care for head injuries in their “Return to Play” and “Return to Learn”. We feel that these processes go hand-in-hand. O’Dowd athletes will need to complete the RTP protocols outlined by the athletics department before returning to play.
