Preview Night - Tuesday, January 23@ 7:00pm
Mark this date on your calendar. We would love all of our current parents/families to attend this exciting event as we present our mission, vision, and goals for TCS. Awesome things are in the works in Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, and High School. We will offer discounts for the Preschool thru High School re-enrollment fee to any current families who re-enroll by February 6.

Signing IN/OUT
As a friendly reminder, singing in and out each day is a requirement made by the Licensing department and is school policy. The students’ name, a full signature and date and time are needed. Missing signatures carry a $10 fee for the first 3 missing signatures and the fee goes up to $25 per missing signature after that.

Preschool
Bible:( spiritual, cognitive)This week we will learn about “Jesus’ teachings and miracles.” The Bible Memory verse is “"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26. Character trait : Helpful
Phonics & Language Dev. ( cognitive,fine motor, soc-emotional): We will be introducing a new friend Mickey monkey for letter “Mm”.
Vocab words: Mexico, Manners, Magnets, and Mice
Language Dev: Learn about the season of winter, continue with Antarctica, and Arctic animals and MLK
Math:(cognitive, physical, soc-emotional) count 1-20 focus on number 9. Make simple graphs based on our shoes and lunch items.
Art/craft:(cognitive, spiritual, fine motor) MLK craft.
Science/sensory: (physical, soc-emotional) Icebergs and “snow sensory” bins
Music/Movement: (physical, soc-emotional cognitive) Dance to mariachi music

Pre-K
Show n’ Tell will be on Friday and the theme is nature. Bring in an item from nature to share (no live things)!
BIBLE:
We will be reading Jesus’s first recorded miracle. Our Bible verse for this month, Matthew 19:26., “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Spiritual, social)
PHONICS:
We will review the consonants “Ww, Yy and Pp”. We have added small groups to phonic and in these groups, students will learn blends and continue practicing their letter recognition. (cognitive, fine motor, literacy)
READY SKILLS:
We will continue to work on our winter collage using different materials. The students will also be practicing writing their name. (Spiritual, fine motor, social)
LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT:
We will be learning about who Martin Luther King Jr. was and what he did for our country. We will also be talking about how special and unique God has made each of us. The topic of Arctic animals will continue to be talked about and we’ll read a poem called ”First snow”.( literacy, cognitive, spiritual)
MATH:
We’ll continue to count to 50 this week and review the numbers 1-11. Number 12 will introduced and we will play a couple different math games.(cognitive, gross motor, fine motor)
ART AND ACTIVITY:
We will be making a MLK craft that promotes equality and differences. (Social, spiritual, finemotor, cognitive)
SCIENCE:
We will be exploring an ice block and examine what happens to ice when it melts. (Spiritual, social, cognitive)
MUSIC AND MOVEMENT:
The children will participate in a march around the preschool in honor of MLK Day. We will throw pretend snow balls during a game of snowball battle. (Spiritual, gross motor, social)

Lesson 86-89
Bible- Jesus begins his ministry(social,cognitive,language)
Memory verse- For the month of January we will be learning Matthew 19:26. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. We will recite together then play some games to help us remember.(social,cognitive,language)
Phonics/language- We will learn the letter Pp and its sound. We will underline the letter p in words. Also review all letters learned and read some one vowel words.(social,cognitive,language)
Math-We will count to 50 and focus on 1-12. I will make a number ladder with 1-12 in mixed order. We will climb up and down the ladder. (social,cognitive,language)
Art- We will make two hand prints for “I had a dream” (social,physical)
Science- Mix colors by shaking hands with classmates. (cognitive,social,language,physical)
Ready skills- Traces and write letters Cc, Dd, Ee. (physical,cognitive,social)
movement/activity- Review opposites and rhyming words by putting together an opposite puzzle and play a rhyming game.(social,physical)
