Definition of Learn & Develop
RE Learn & Develop learners develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes, awareness and understanding necessary to become successful critical learners and confident Responsible Outstanding Citizens.
We define learning as a staged process involving the establishment, consolidation and extension of neural connections in the brain. Learning increases our academic, physical, emotional or social capacity. Learning takes place through a variety of activities including observation, research, experimentation, experience and reflection.
We believe that the starting point and attitude of the learner is key to the learning process and the school is responsible for nurturing growth by providing a positive, supportive environment. In this respect the school values are key in promoting high quality learning experiences which lie at the heart of the school.

The RE Learn & Develop is a learning community of students, staff and other stakeholders. Learning is a lifelong and individual process. It is rarely a smooth, uninterrupted journey without stops and starts along the way. Learning involves learning something new as well as consolidating or practising something learned previously. Learning can take place at any time and in any place and can be intentional or unintentional. The RE Learn & Develop recognises the value of learning in shaping lives and our world, now and in the future.
