Summer Program FAQs

1. Do I need to sign up for the full summer, or can I select specific weeks?
To register for the Gan program, you are required to sign up for the full summer. For the Elementary program, you can choose which weeks you would like to attend.

2. Do I need to pay the grand trip fee?
The grand trip fee is required only if your child is attending week 7 and is in the Elementary program.

3. What are the dates of the Summer Program? Are there any closures?
The Summer Program runs from June 30th to August 14th.

5. What happens to the deposit?
The deposit is applied towards Summer Program tuition and is non-refundable. If you receive CCS vouchers and there is a discrepancy between the vouchers and tuition, the deposit will be used to cover the difference. If your child is not accepted into the program, the deposit will be refunded.

6. What happens if I apply after May 11th?
After May 11th, we cannot guarantee a spot for your child. Additionally, no discounts will be applied for applications made after this date.

7. What if I want to cancel a week after I sign up?
After May 11th, a $75 cancellation fee will apply for any weeks removed from your application. This fee is charged per child, per week.

8. What if I do not receive CCS vouchers?
If you do not receive CCS vouchers, the full Summer Program tuition is due before the program begins. Please contact Mrs. Meltzer at accounting@mycheder.com to set up a payment plan.

9. What if my CCS vouchers do not cover the full Summer Program tuition?
If there is a discrepancy between your CCS vouchers and the total tuition, you will need to pay the difference in full or arrange a payment plan.

10. What if I have an outstanding balance on my school year tuition?
CCS vouchers are applied according to the designated time frame (e.g., March vouchers cover March, July vouchers cover July). If there is an outstanding balance on your school year tuition, your Summer Program application may be delayed or denied until the balance is settled.

11. What if my CCS vouchers expire during the Summer Program?
If your CCS vouchers expire during the program, you will need to pay for the remaining weeks of camp. Payment for the remaining balance is due by June 10th. You may also contact Mrs. Meltzer at accounting@mycheder.com to set up a payment plan.

If you submit new CCS paperwork for the upcoming 2025-2026 year before June 10th, you will not need to pay the discrepancy between when your old vouchers expire and when the new ones begin.

12. Do school-year voucher policies apply during the summer?
Yes, all policies regarding vouchers that apply during the school year also apply during the summer. Parents are responsible for ensuring their vouchers are valid and that attendance requirements are met. If you have any questions about vouchers, please contact govprograms@mycheder.com.
