Tourism
PRIDE in all we do.
In Travel and Tourism at The Streetly Academy we aim to inspire student’s passion for travel while developing their skills, knowledge and understanding of the Travel and Tourism industry.
Tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and provides employment to almost 10% of the job market. We hope that our Travel and Tourism students go on to work in this dynamic and wide ranging industry. To support their career paths we offer a curriculum at key stage 4 and 5 to develop students' knowledge of the vast industry whilst also nurturing their skills to ensure they are successful in their chosen careers.
We also aim to encourage students to travel wherever they would like to; locally, nationally and internationally. We hope to inspire students by exploring a range of different destinations and opening the minds and the hearts of students to the possibilities of travel. To accompany this passion we aim to educate students in how to travel easily, safely and responsibly and develop students skills and confidence in planning and booking trips.
