[ PERSONALITY ] “I AM NOT SCARED”

Li Wei often presents himself as a shy and softly spoken individual, effortlessly blending into the background. Engaging in conversation with him is a simple task, as he attentively listens to the words of others without offering much resistance. There's a subtle allure to his demeanor; he participates in discussions, poses thoughtful inquiries, yet retreats when the spotlight intensifies, allowing the crowd to dominate.

Despite his outward appearance of passivity and compliance, a flicker of defiance glimmers in Li Wei's eyes. Obedience has been ingrained in him since childhood, a product of his upbringing in a world filled with authority. Yet, beneath his compliant exterior lies a quiet determination.

Always at the bottom of some hierarchy he harbors resentment for those who wield authority over him. His bitterness occasionally seeps through his otherwise composed demeanor, manifesting in subtle displays of judgmental glares. While he may not openly vocalize his dissent, there seems to be something simmering in him ready to erupt at any moment.

[ BACKGROUND ]  “HAHA… I AM JUST A DOG…”

Li Wei’s early childhood allowed him freedom to do as he pleased. His parents weren’t the type to involve themselves as they were busy people. As long as he kept himself out of trouble they trusted that he would figure out what to do. However of course all did not go well as into his early teen years Li Wei started hanging out with the wrong crowd.

If you asked someone from his past about him they would only have vague memories. Mostly memories of him somehow always getting tangled up with the troubled crowd. Throughout middle school to high school he would often be seen doing afterschool chores as a consequence of getting in trouble. Li Wei would never initiate conflict, but he would often be found embroiled in bullying incidents or fights. His behavior angered his parents but they couldn’t just send him away as they lacked the finances. Despite repeated warnings to avoid trouble, Li Wei seemed impervious to their warnings, and eventually, his parents resigned themselves to his behavior.

After high school Li Wei didn’t have much direction into his future. One of his old classmates told him of a promising opportunity at a company that was hiring. All Li Wei needed to do was undergo training to become an accountant, with the promise of stable hours and decent pay. Young and naive he agreed.

The job initially appeared to be a blessing, but it quickly revealed its true nature. The "company" turned out to be a front for a notorious loan shark operation, ensnaring Li Wei in the criminal underworld. Despite his initial resistance, he soon found himself subjected to violence and coercion, forced into compliance. Now known as the company’s “dog”, these nefarious individuals keep him trapped in a world he never imagined himself a part of.
