Tickets for Friday’s Battle of the Bands can be purchased, cash or charge, at the Ponder Cafe during all three lunches today. Enjoy a terrific night of live music while supporting the Mini-Grants program. The event kicks off at 7:30 at the Regent Theatre. Secure your ticket today.

Attention Juniors! SAT review classes begin next week to help you prepare for the March and May exams. Classes meet once a week for 6 weeks with afternoon and evening options. Spaces are limited. Register at ArlingtonCommnunityEd.org or swing by the ACE office for more details.

Seniors, the deadline for submitting your senior quote and childhood photo Form has been extended until Saturday, January 31. Please complete the form as soon as possible. Seniors also need to make sure they have selected a photo for the yearbook. If no photo is selected, one will be chosen for you. Are you an artist or writer looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your talent? Do you want your work to be featured prominently in the next issue of the literary magazine?
We are thrilled to announce that The Literary Magazine is currently collecting submissions for our 2026 publication. The magazine publishes student art that is both visual (paintings, sketches, photography, ceramics, jewelry, etc.) and written (poetry, prose, creative essays, etc.). If you are interested in submitting something to be published in this year's magazine, please see the daily post for more information.

The Bridge Project is looking for more tutors to teach English Learners in Elementary and Middle School! You do not have to know a second language to tutor, and you can earn community service hours for the NHS, too! Signing up is really easy, and if you are interested, please join the Google Classroom (code: ewhco3n) and fill out the application form!

The Polar Plunge will happen on Tuesday, February 24th, hosted by the Student Council in collaboration with Best Buddies and Special Olympics Massachusetts. Sign up and raise at least $25 to plunge, or donate to your friends. We encourage making teams and plunging in costumes, and we invite staff to participate as well! Find the link on the Daily Post.

Read Tuesdays and Thursdays - Lock it or Lose It!
Students using the locker rooms before, during, and after school should lock up all valuables. Please see a PE/Wellness teacher to sign up for a PE locker if you do not have one! Make sure to report any thefts to the nearest teacher or your dean.
Monday and Wednesday - Spy Ponder Threads Gently used clothing, winter gear, backpacks, shoes and more are available thanks to the generosity of our community. Stop by during Monday - Friday 9am-3pm to "shop" for what you need. All items are free to all. In the Welcome & Resource Center where APS works towards a more sustainable Arlington.
Read all Mondays and Wednesdays - Food - Please be kind to the custodians and eat your food in our food-friendly Cafeteria. If you bring food to other areas, please be clean and tidy, or you may be asked to leave.
Read all Wednesdays - We are working with Arlington Eats to help students with food insecurity. If you need help, please use this form to let us know. We will work with you privately to help you get the items you need.
Read all Tuesdays - Bike riders - Do not chain your bike to doors, gates, seats, or block doorways - they may be removed. Please use the provided bike racks.
Read all Fridays - Willy the therapy dog is here with AHS Social Worker Andrea Razi on Fridays. All are welcome to say hi if you see him in the halls! He loves to give high 5’s! He’s available for scheduled visits with students in need and classes as well. Reach out to Andrea if you are interested.
