MS. GROSS ANNOUNCEMENTS

School Day SAT Test for Seniors: The SAT test is Wednesday, October 14 at Asotin High School. Testing will begin at 8am  

National College Fair for Juniors and Seniors: The National College Fair is on Tuesday, October 13 in Spokane, WA.  Asotin will be taking a bus to the fair.  The bus will load at 8:00 a.m. and return at 3:30 p.m.  Juniors and Seniors interested in attending need to sign-up in the Counseling Office and pick-up an informational packet.  The deadline to sign-up and have all forms returned is Friday, October 9.

Future Educator Conference: The LC State’s Future Educator Conference is Friday, October 23 at Lewis-Clark State College.  This is for 9th – 12th graders who are interested in K-12 education.  Students will load the bus at 8:30 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m. This is an early release day so please talk to Ms. Gross if you would like to attend but can’t stay for the entire conference.  Students interested in attending need to sign-up in the Counseling Office by Wednesday, October 14.

School Day SAT Test: If you signed up to take the School Day SAT test, the test is Wednesday, October 14.  Testing will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Cap and Gown Ordering Meeting for Seniors: The representative from Direct Grad will be here on Thursday, October 15 from 11:00 – 11:15 a.m. in Mr. Landrus’ room to meet with the seniors to talk about ordering caps and gowns.  All seniors need to attend. Personal Statement Presentation for Seniors: A professor from LC State will be here on Thursday, October 15 during 4th period in Ms. Chappelle’s room.  The presentation introduces students to the key elements of a literary narrative.  Students will draft personal narratives which then can be used for college and scholarship applications.  If you don’t have Ms. Chappelle during 4th period and want to attend this presentation, please let Ms. Gross know by Wednesday, October 14.
