Approve Prior Minutes
● MOTION: to approve 1/5 Meeting Minutes seconded and approved
Reminder to all that discussions at BOD meetings are confidential with those on the BRSLL BOD.
Registration Update
- 351 players total
- 19 Juniors (2 teams)
- 67 Majors (5 teams of 12 = 7 drops)
- 77 AAA (6 teams of 12 = 12 drops). 32 9-year-olds registered.
- 59 AA (5 teams of 12 = 11 drops)
- 61 A (teams of 11)
- 69 Tball (teams of 10)
- MOTION: to have 6 teams in AAA and 5 teams in AA seconded and approved.
Manager Discussions (approvals are conditional until background checks and trainings complete)
- Juniors: 2 teams. Need to recruit one more manager.
- Majors: 7 candidates for 5 teams. Vote on Monday at BSC.
- Criteria:
- Confidence in ability to teach kids baseball, keep kids safe, have kids have a nice experience, manage families.
- Previous experience in managing/running a team.
- Volunteerism/service to the league.
- Parents of 12-year-olds.
- 7 Candidates: Ernie Chan to send details to BOD separately
- AAA: Manager and Coach candidates
- MOTION: Eric Law-Hing and Thomas Seoh as manager and head coach seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Doug Seich and Ming Wu as manager and head coach seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Rodney Allen and Shannon Wilson as manager and head coach seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Brian Kulich and Alex Janin as manager and head coach seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Brian Rogers as manager seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Dennis Hu and Ryan Martino as manager seconded and approved.
- AA: Manager and Coach candidates
- MOTION: Tim Evans, Rob Douglas, and Nick Schmiere as manager, head coach, and assistant coach seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Alex Janin, Jon Wagner, and Jimmy Hardman as manager and head coach, and assistant seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Ryan Sydenham as manager seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Josh Turner, Eric Ip, Vipul Galal as manager, head coach, and assistant coach seconded and approved.
- MOTION: Stephanie Biddle, Alex Biddle, Joslyn Piland, Minna Rohou as manager, head coach, and assistant coaches seconded and approved.

Tryout Schedule
- Saturday, January 21 at Marlin Park (all day)
- Saturday, January 22 at Sandpiper (all day)
- Make-ups on Sunday, January 29 at Sandpiper
- Liz to send out sign-up sheet for volunteering
Interleague Play
- San Mateo National wants exclusive interleague play with BRSLL, April 4-22, 2023
- AAA and Majors
- Wider diversity in quality of teams in SMNLL because teams stay together year to year–no draft
- Foster City, Pacifica interested also
- All decisions pending timing and number of games
- Kulich to circle back with Johno G
Round Table:
- Liz - finalizing DOJ background check practice
- Tim - need to discuss, have decision on working on Marina lights
- Ken - safety trainings pending, finalizing location and paperwork
- Be sure that all canopies are securely tied down for wind
Next Meetings:
- Monday, January 16 in person at BSC @BSC. Primary focus is selection of Majors managers.
- Thursday, January 19 in person at BSC @ 7:30PM
