4/7/22
The Prom guest permission forms are due on Monday, April 11th in the front office.
Attention Juniors and Seniors! Prom is Saturday April 16 and tickets are now on sale! Please see Mrs. Kline in room 208 to buy a ticket.
Attention Seniors!
Your senior trip is planned for April 29th at King’s Dominion! Please pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Johnston or Mr. Miller. Permission slips and payment are due no later than April 12th (that’s the Tuesday we return from spring break)!
Madison County High School Blood Drive is coming. On April 27th, we will be hosting an American Red Cross blood Drive in our Gymnasium. All students 16 or older who are able to donate are welcome. 16 year old students will need a permission slip signed by their parents. All students will need a photo ID to be able to donate. If you are interested in donating blood, please stop by Room 216 to sign up. If you are 16, please take a permission slip and return it no later than April 21st. Our goal is 26 units, let us show our Madison Pride and double this!!!

1. Cheer Conditioning will be held after school from 3:30-5:30 pm every Monday. Please meet in the WMS ISS Room. This is open to anyone interested in trying out for Cheer next year. If you have any questions please contact Coach Pierson. (Please announce all week this week and every Friday and Monday starting next!)
2. The Cheer Squad is selling PuraVida Bracelets for $6 to help raise money for their upcoming season! If you'd like to purchase one please find a cheerleader from last season or Coach Pierson! (Please announce for the next 2 weeks!)
Attention SCA members and officers: We would like to have a meeting this Thursday afternoon right after school until 4:15 pm in Mrs. Tanners room. We will be discussing our plans for the remainder of the year. Please make plans to be there. Thanks, see you soon!
Erwin Carter is hosting a donation drive for used, protective equipment such as helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads. They will be redistributed to people in need of them at local skateparks. The drive will run from March 9th until March 17th. Please leave donations in the box in Mrs. Johnston’s hallway at the top of the main stairwell. Any donations are appreciated.
Attention all students! Jewell Cropp and Nate Herrman are hosting a kickball tournament on March 19th. Teams are divided by grade level and spots on a team cost $10 per player. Players should dress according to their grade’s theme:
Freshman- nerds, Sophomores- flannels, Juniors- Jerseys, and the seniors- birthday party. Forms to sign up are on the shelf outside of the front office. Teams are limited to 25 players each, so sign up as soon as possible to secure your spot on the team!

Review sessions for the A.P. Test on May 2nd will begin today, from 3:30 to 4:15 in Room 216. Review sessions will take place every Monday and Wednesday until May 2nd. The MCHS class councils are hosting a school-wide food drive from November 12-November 19th. We are asking for non-perishable items! Items will be collected in each homeroom. This is a competition and the homeroom with the most items collected will win a breakfast! Winners will be announced Monday the 22nd.
The Powderpuff game is postponed to next Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00 pm. We will have practice Tuesday from 3:30 to 4:30. The price is $5 all are welcome to attend!

If you are planning on attending the Homecoming dance, and want to bring a date from outside the school you must have the permission form filled out & approved before bringing your date to the dance. To be eligible, they must be in the 9th grade or above and under the age of 21 years of age to attend. Deadline for returning the form is Monday the 18th of October.
Open gym for Girls Basketball will begin on Thursday, October 14th from 5:30 to 7:00 in the High School gym for girls in grades 6th-12th.
Homecoming week KICKS OFF this Saturday with a special Homecoming parade at 7pm, followed by a showing of Jumanji at 8 @ Hoover Ridge. The parade will travel down Mountaineer Lane.
