President Marija formerly served on the Board as Membership Chair where she focused on growing the active member base. As President, she welcomes suggestions regarding how the club can best serve its membership. While at Mount Holyoke, Marija studied architecture, philosophy, and was on the Mount Holyoke College Dressage Team. She is a professional dressage trainer in Wine Country and lives in San Francisco. As a Northern California native, she hopes to further initiatives to be inclusive of alums across our entire region, not just the Bay Area. Her first love, her horse George, occupies her free time. When not cuddling with George, she looks forward to supporting the efforts and interests of alums to engage with one another, building a more connected network in the Northern California area. | |
Vice President While at MHC, Katie (she/her) was on the crew team, a J-show writer, a WMHC DJ, worked with student programs, and worked at Tailgate! After college, Katie served as co-scribe for her class for several years and remains involved with her class board. Katie received her MSW from Simmons College (now University) in 2011 and moved to Oakland, CA that same year. Katie is a full-time social worker for a Bay Area non-profit adoption agency and teaches Zumba and Spinning on the side. Katie has been involved with the NorCal Club since she moved to the Bay Area and has really enjoyed the new and various programs that have sprung up since 2019. | |
Co-Treasurer Pauline has 20+ years in banking, plus 6 years in Healthcare as an Internal Auditor which transitions nicely into the role of Treasurer. Pauline wants to connect more with the growing alum and student population in the Bay Area. In her spare time, she loves to read, cook, travel, and try new restaurants. | |
Co-Treasurer Sarah is excited to return to the Board to engage and support our diverse community in Northern California. Previously, Sarah has served on the Board as Co-President, Membership Chair, and General Board member, and delighted in organizing the occasional Mount Holyoke dinner while living in Beijing. As a Recruiting and Operations consultant, Sarah partners with Beijing and San Francisco-based organizations on their talent, community engagement, and fundraising initiatives. | |
Membership Chair Leah has attended club events since graduation and is excited to continue serving the board as Membership Chair. She believes it will be a great opportunity to connect with alums across the Bay Area. Leah served as a board member for 4 years in two different positions (communications, education) on the Northern CA Chapter of the American Case Management Association (ACMA) board, and currently serves as a board member in the communications chair for the Northern California Chapter of the Society for Social Work Leadership in Healthcare. She lives in San Francisco. | |
Rebekah Harkins Rabiroff '03Membership Co-Chair Rebekah (she/her/hers) moved to Sacramento in Nov. 2019, where she works as Director of Development for the College of Social Sciences & Interdisciplinary Studies at Sac State, following nearly two decades of working in the performing arts in NYC and SF. In addition to a BA from MHC, Bekah earned an MBA from City University of New York – Baruch College in 2012. On weekends Bekah can be found on the bike trail; walking her dogs with her toddler, Alice; curled up with coffee and a good book; or teaching beginning motorcyclists as part of the California Motorcycle Safety Program. Her favorite memories from Mt. Holyoke include rugby matches, working on her thesis in the library, and, of course, sharing M&Cs with friends. | |
Communications Chair Natasha serves as the news and communications manager at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. In this role, she writes stories about the student body and drafts internal communications for Haas’ senior leadership team. Prior to joining Haas, Natash worked at MHC in the Office of Admission, traversing the country to find the best and brightest students for the College. A Bay Area native, Natasha enjoys spending time with family, roller skating, dancing, and giving manicures. | |
General Board Member & Alum Association Liaison Eleanor has been passionate about supporting Mt. Holyoke for over 30 years. She has served as a member of the College’s Board of Trustees as well as co-chaired the inaugural Asian Alum Symposium in Hong Kong. She was the membership chair of the Northern California Club, a member of the SF Major Gifts Committee, the Alumnae Trustee & Awards Committee, the Asian Scholarship Nucleus Committee, and the Global Strategy Task Force. Eleanor is a retired banker and received her MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University. | |
General Board Member & East Bay AAR Hannah attended Mount Holyoke at the urging of her aunt Onie Bussey ’84 and is eternally grateful for the bond of their shared alma mater. Post-graduation she moved back home to the Bay Area to work as a program manager at a college access nonprofit. She was involved with the club as a member starting in 2009 and joined the board 4 years ago as the admissions liaison. |
