For several years now my career as a Web Developer has been very successful. I enjoy the process and the collaboration but in recent years, the roles that I have received have specialized towards the programming and technical end with less creativity than when I started my career. It’s also time for a change. So I am going back to my roots and looking for work in Graphic Design and Illustration. I created my new company, Hughdidit LLC, in August of 2017 and have been working on strictly creative projects since. I’m open to any creative projects you might have. I mostly prefer to work remotely but will commute occasionally for the right opportunity.
This is a shortened version of my resume. Get the longer, more detailed version.
Intuit Inc., 2632 Marine Way, Mountain View CA 94043
Apr 2014 ~ Jul 2014
Intuit Inc contracted me to prototype two features they wished to add to their product line.I rapidly produced a set of interstitial pages for A/B testing the public desire for a product enhancement to their TurboTax software. This project required being self-directed, swiftly ramping up on the use of Intuit internal systems and creating processes that were non-existent. Tracking data was collected and analyzed after a short test to determine the product viability. This was accomplished in roughly three weeks.
I then developed from concept to inception a prototype front-end widget for importing financial data. I architected and built a Moderator patterned widget with Angular and scaffolded it with Yeoman, Grunt, Bower and Require. The application is SSO authenticated and can be embedded as an iframe or included as a component.
ThisMoment Inc., 222 Kearny Street, Suite 500, San Francisco CA 94108
Sep 2013 ~ Feb 2014
Contracted to provide a Pinterest-like social app for their client Sephora cosmetics. The app uses jQuery, RequireJS, BackboneJS, UnderscoreJS, Masonry, ImagesLoaded, Typeahead, Scrollpane, Less and interacts with a PHP backend. Models are populated by a restful API. Urls and browser history are managed by a router class via Backbone.Router. The application is single sign-on (SSO) and imports a stateful header and footer that is provided by Sephora’s codebase via an iframe. See the Sephora Beauty Board at http://gallery.sephora.com
Hotwire, Inc., 655 Montgomery Street, Suite 600, San Francisco CA 94111
Dec 2012 ~ Sept 2013
I joined Hotwire as a contract UI developer to help develop their mobile web presence. This has been a great learning experience for me as I have expanded my skill set to work with many new technologies like SASS CSS, Compass, Grunt, Angular, and Node JS and learning new methodologies for mobile development.
eBay, Inc., 2065 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose CA 95125
Nov 2010 ~ Present
I joined eBay on a contract for hire but was pretty quickly offered full-time employment. My responsibility was mainly for a product called “Custom Banner” which had become very dated and the Traffic team wanted new ideas and a better look.
I became responsible for almost all UI development within the eBay Partner Network and helped many of my teammates by solving their UI problems. I was also very fond of working with eBay’s Skunkworks program in which we had internal hack-a-thons to just innovate for the site.

Macys, Inc., 170 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco CA 94102

I have worked collaboratively with large teams of business and technical staff across the nation to rapidly develop weekly content and large-scale, long-term functional enhancements.
