The Foot Health Practitioner (“the Practitioner”) provides routine foot health care services to residents within the care home environment in accordance with professional standards, clinical safety requirements, and agreed working arrangements.

This service is limited to routine foot health care and does not replace GP, podiatry, nursing, or emergency medical services.
Routine treatment fees are £23 per resident, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Fees may be reviewed annually. Any changes will be applied in accordance with the Practitioner’s Fees and Pricing Policy.
Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
The responsible payer must be clearly identified prior to treatment being provided.

Where payment issues arise, a card-on-file payment system via CarePatron will be required to ensure continued service and avoid disruption.
Payment details are securely collected and stored with authorisation to process invoices and any outstanding balances.
All payments are processed securely through a PCI-compliant payment system. Card details are not stored or handled directly by the Practitioner.
A card-on-file payment system via CarePatron forms part of the standard payment process and supports smooth and consistent billing.
Where a family member, representative or nominated payer is responsible for payment, the Care Home will provide PediHealth Foot Clinic with the appropriate contact details.
The Care Home is responsible for ensuring that the contact details provided are accurate and that the relevant person has been appropriately informed that their details are being shared for the administration and invoicing of foot health services.
PediHealth Foot Clinic will use these details only for purposes relating to the resident’s care, appointments and invoicing, and will handle personal information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
If contact details are disputed or direct communication is requested to cease, PediHealth Foot Clinic will refer the matter back to the Care Home for clarification.
Where accounts become overdue, or where required payment arrangements (including card-on-file authorisation) are not in place, routine treatment may be paused in line with this policy until arrangements are completed or outstanding balances are fully settled.
The Practitioner reserves the right to withhold non-urgent routine care where payment terms have not been met.
Urgent clinical or safeguarding concerns will be escalated appropriately regardless of payment status.
The care home is responsible for ensuring appropriate consent arrangements are in place prior to treatment.
Where a resident lacks capacity to consent, treatment must be authorised in accordance with applicable mental capacity and best-interest decision-making requirements.
The Practitioner reserves the right to decline treatment where valid consent cannot be established.
The Practitioner will provide care within their professional scope of practice and maintain appropriate clinical records.
Residents presenting with urgent or high-risk concerns may require escalation or referral, including but not limited to:

The Practitioner reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where clinical risks fall outside scope of practice or where treatment is considered unsafe.
The care home agrees to:
The Practitioner will maintain appropriate infection prevention and control standards in accordance with current professional guidance.
The care home agrees to support safe infection control practices, including access to handwashing facilities and appropriate waste disposal where required.
Where residents are unavailable, refuse treatment, or are not prepared at the scheduled time, the Practitioner reserves the right to charge for the appointment where appropriate.
Repeated missed appointments may result in removal from future clinic schedules unless alternative arrangements are agreed.
The Practitioner will maintain professional standards, confidentiality, safeguarding responsibilities, and infection control procedures at all times.
Abusive, threatening, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour towards the Practitioner may result in immediate withdrawal of services.
Either party may terminate this agreement by providing 30 days’ written notice.

No guarantee is provided regarding clinical outcomes where underlying medical conditions affect healing or response to treatment.
Resident information will be handled confidentially and stored securely in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and professional record-keeping requirements.
Information may be shared with relevant healthcare professionals where clinically necessary, required for continuity of care, or for safeguarding purposes.
The Practitioner maintains appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
Liability is limited to losses directly arising from proven negligence within professional scope of practice.
