Happy Friday!

This week, students continued working on our beginning of year testing with the i-Ready Math Diagnostic. We also continued learning about the changing Earth, focusing on landforms, weathering, and erosion. Students even investigated a hands-on example of beach erosion!

Next week, fourth graders will have their first opportunity to cook in the Charlie Cart learning kitchen! Thank you so much to everyone who signed up to volunteer - we truly could not make it happen without all of you! There is no school on Monday, September 4 for Labor Day.

Reminders:

There is one open volunteer spot for cooking in the learning kitchen next week!

Sign up here if you are interested in helping out!

Field trip to Georgetown Train and Mine Tour:

This trip is live on My School Bucks! The cost is $53 per student. Please sign your child up as soon as possible. Here is the link:  https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/prdembd?ref=ZZHVZS5TX305OUU_ZZ6047F9Q60WDG3

*We do need several parent chaperones for this trip on 9/20. A few people have reached out interested in going, but we don’t have any confirmed chaperones just yet. We don’t have room on the bus for parents, unfortunately, so parents will need to drive themselves separately to Georgetown. Please reach out if you are interested!
