2025 - 2026 LLMEA Scholarship Overview

The Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association (LLMEA) is proud to offer a scholarship to graduating seniors from participating LLMEA school districts. This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in music and intend to pursue a degree in the music industry.

Eligibility Criteria - To be eligible for the LLMEA Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Graduating Senior: The applicant must be a current high school senior in a participating LLMEA school district.
2. Music Industry Major: The student must plan to major in a field related to the music industry. This includes, but is not limited to, music education, music production/technology, music performance, music business, bachelor of music, and/or musical theater arts.
3. Participation in Music Activities: The student should have a demonstrated involvement in school and/or community music programs, such as band, choir, orchestra, or other music ensembles.

Application Requirements - Students interested in applying for the LLMEA Scholarship must submit the following:

1. LLMEA Scholarship Registration Form: Available from your LLMEA participating school.
2. Personal Statement: A written response outlining your passion for music, your future goals in the music industry, and how this scholarship will support your journey.

Selection Process - The LLMEA Scholarship Committee will review all applications and select a recipient based on:

• Musical achievements and participation
• Academic performance
• Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in the music industry
• Strength of the personal statement

LLMEA Scholarship Award Amount - The recipient of the LLMEA Scholarship will receive a one-time award of $500 to be used toward tuition or other educational expenses. The scholarship funds will be available at the LLMEA Banquet, or sent directly to the recipient's mailing address provided by the registration form.

2025-2026 Application Timeline

1/2/2026 - Registration Opens

3/13/26 - Registration & Personal Statement Deadline

All applications must be submitted by 3/15/25. Late applications will not be considered.

3/27/26 - Scholarship Recipient Notification

                Recipient will be notified via email.

4/14/26 - LLMEA Banquet
