Mackenzie “Mack” Murphy is an Elmer, NJ native with deep connections to swimming throughout her life. For 15 summers she was a member of the Elmer Swim Team where she served as a volunteer swim instructor for swim lessons and as well as a volunteer coach for the 8 & under age group for four summers. Throughout her time there she also participated in winter swimming at Vineland YMCA and was a four year varsity swimmer at Woodstown High School. It was here where she met Head Coach Matt and they served as co-captains together in their senior year. Her favorite events include the 200 IM and 100 backstroke. Mackenzie is a recent graduate from Stetson University with her bachelor’s degree in Biological Science. During her college years, she worked at Parvin State Park as the head lifeguard where she trained her team of lifeguards for their annual competition against other regional state parks and led them to victory in 2017. Presently, she enjoys swimming, running, reading, and painting in her free time. In the future, she hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in Forestry and work for the National Park Service. She is ecstatic to join the Brookside family and looks forward to working with the Dolphins and learning from them as well!
