Extended Game Rules and FAQ

No mods, hacks, add-ons, macros, scripts or private servers etc.are allowed.

Notes:Only the unaltered current public full live version of the game, online and connected to the official Supercell servers, is allowed.

Only direct manual control by the submitting player is allowed, with no external or artificial tools, controls, automation or assistance.

Reconfiguration of the device or emulation setup, such as VPNs, proxy servers or geographic location settings, before installation of the game to avoid regional variations such as age verification etc,during runs is allowed. If in doubt ask first!

Warning! Any attempt to mislead or gain unfair advantage through alteration of any game, code or submitted recordings etc. (i.e.cheating) will usually result in permanent site bans!

Force-stopping or exiting the game during runs is not allowed.

Notes: In runs with expected completion times in excess of 30 minutes, unintentional screen timeouts or enforced Personal Breaks are allowable at the Moderators discretion and will be included in the run time. As a minimum the recording must still be continuous, and preferably with a visible clock displayed on the desktop or home screen while disconnected from the game. Early reconnection attempts to check for attacks are allowed.

Players can submit runs with their best estimate of timing to the whole second, ms are not necessary. All submissions will be retimed on verification.

Notes: Players can use the in-game timers to estimate their own times, and are also encouraged to use tools such as Floating Speedrun Timer or LiveSplit, but must bear in mind that these are human controlled and so can vary considerably from a correctly verified framecount.

The uploading and rendering process can introduce variation from local original recordings, the online instance as submitted is the only eligible version for all verification of times.

Verification timing is usually completed directly from YouTube or the sr.c run page using

Videos may be downloaded for temporary local use if necessary during verification, but will not be retained.

Submissions must be of a single stand-alone run for the record being claimed, hosted on a mainstream video sharing platform, preferably YouTube, uploaded in a single session and capable of being retimed by framecount. Compilations, Segmented Runs, Spliced/Edited Videos, Time-Stamped links and Stream Archives etc. will be rejected. Twitch videos are allowed as standalone clips or separate highlights just containing the run. Audio is desirable but not required.

Multiple subsections of one run are allowed as separate records, but each must be uploaded and submitted as an individual recording and run attempt in the appropriate category.

Notes: All run attempts must be submitted for verification on the correct form and category on the sr.c game leaderboards. Links posted on Discord or the
Game Forum etc. will not be accepted. Spamming multiple submissions will not result in faster verification. Persistent offenders will be banned!

Any runs submitted in the wrong category will not be transferred and must be resubmitted correctly by the player.

Players are reminded of the general sr.c site rules, which state that any submissions content or comments which are potentially slanderous or offensive (PG-13) etc. must result in rejection of the run, regardless of its validity as a record.

Any runs featuring overdubbed music or other content possibly subject to copyright protection will be rejected.

Any Video submissions of less than 720P / 30 fps quality will be rejected if a frame-count is not possible!

Notes: Videos must be in horizontal landscape orientation. A clear view of all menus, dialogue boxes, and troop placement and their actions during the run must be maintained. Excessive Zooming or Scrolling, Blurring, Masks, Filters or any other obscurement or alteration of any part of the game display are not allowed.

Anonymization is allowed only with the cooperation of the moderators as under sr.c site rules.

Any timers used must have a transparent background or not be overlaid on the game display.

LiveSplit opacity settings

Any video submission showing the player connecting to or creating a Supercell ID, Linking to Google Play, Facebook or Supercell Friends, etc will be rejected as it could reveal personal information.

Please disable your notifications during recording!

Runs which give an unfair advantage during short-term special events, using temporary special troops, or any other special offers e.g. Anniversaries, Halloween, Xmas, New Year, 1 gem boosts, etc. are not allowed.

Notes: Unfair Advantage: If the run could not be repeated or completed in the same way by another player after the offer or event has ended.

For Example, Runs can still be completed during the Xmas specials using the normal permanent troops and potions, but using temporary Special Offer Ice Wizards or Santa’s Surprise spells in Finish Battles and IL’s: or 1 gem boosts, reduced troop training costs or Xmas Tree obstacle loot rewards for Town Hall Any%; would lead to disqualification of the run.

Moderators’ decision is Final.

Players are responsible to be familiar with the rules before starting any run attempts!

Notes: Verification or rejection disputes and appeals can be made through the games Discord channel or sr.c Game Forum. If a second game moderator then confirms the original decision, any further appeal or discussion will only be acknowledged under the official sr.c site rules and processes.

Minor transgressions or errors that do not substantially affect the validity of the run may be waived at the moderators discretion without creating any precedent.
