Eligibility 

For the purpose of this Promotion:

  1. The “Qualifying Period” will be from 19th July 2022 to 31th July 2022.

  1. All applications applied before and/or after the specified Qualifying Period, or submitted through any means other than MoneySmart, will not be eligible for this Promotion. Any correspondence on missing and/or delayed submissions shall not be entertained.

  1. This promotion (“Promotion”) is conducted by MoneySmart Hong Kong Pte Ltd and is open to all residents of Hong Kong.
  2. Applicants understand and accept that the gift is provided by MoneySmart, Citibank (Hong Kong) does not have any liability on the gift fulfillment

  1. Each “Successful Application” will receive the MoneySmart Exclusive Gift, based on the pre-selected gifts (refer to Table 1) and status:
  1. Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Cards

“Eligible New Customers” refers to applicants who meet the following conditions:

  1. Is a New-To-Bank Cardholder, with no existing Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card account* (as main cardmember) at the time when his/her successful application submission via MoneySmart is approved by Citibank (Hong Kong) for any Eligible Citibank (Hong Kong) Product under this Promotion; and
  2. has not previously cancelled any Citibank (Hong Kong) in the last twelve (12) months immediately prior to his/her application for the Eligible Card and prior to the commencement of the Application Period.

“Existing Customers” refers to applicants who meet the following conditions:

  1. has an existing Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card account at the time his/her application for any Eligible Citibank (Hong Kong) Product under this Promotion is approved; and
  2. previously have a Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card account that was terminated/closed (whether by the individual or by Citibank (Hong Kong)) in the last twelve (12) months immediately prior to the commencement of the Application Period;
  3. “Existing customers” are not eligible for this promotion.

*For clarity, an existing Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card account includes an application to upgrade any existing Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card as well as an application for any Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card that has been approved by Citibank (Hong Kong) Bank even if the physical Citibank (Hong Kong) Credit Card has not been received by the customer and/or has not been activated or utilized by the customer.

  1. An “Eligible New Customer” must follow all the steps listed below in order to have a “Successful Application”:
  1. Complete and submit an application for an Eligible Credit Card on the promotion website https://www.moneysmart.hk/ (“Promotion Website”) as a main cardholder during the Qualifying Period.
  2. Customers must disable any Ad Blocker extension on their browser, clear the cookies in their browser and complete the application as soon as possible.

  1. Complete the MoneySmart Redemption Form here and ensure that they submit their (1) Contact Details and (2) a valid Unique Reference Number (URN)
  1. Claim for the reward must be submitted.
  2. Applicants who do not complete the Claim Form fully, and accurately will not be eligible for the Gift.
  3. Applicants may submit more than one Claim Form for the same application, and the latest submission taken as final. No further changes to the details in the Claim Form will be entertained after the final entry is received.
  4. The Gift amount and Gift type are based on the promotional period of the card you have applied for. Please ensure that the Gift you have selected is the Gift that you qualify for, should you be eligible. We reserve the right to make changes at our absolute discretion. View Table 1 for more details.

  1. Have their Eligible Credit Card (Table 1) application approved by the respective Card Provider
  1. The approval must be final and unconditional.
  2. Cards should be approved on or before 31 Aug 2022
  3. “Eligible New Customers” have to submit their claim form, (must complete the financial profile first) before 30th Sep 2022 23:59 (GMT +8)
  4. Customer name in claim form submission must be identical to the cardholder name.  
  5. Customer’s email address in claim form submission must be identical to the cardholder’s email address in the credit card application form.
  6. Any person who practises or is concerned in any fraudulent act or contrivance in the application process, with intent to defraud MoneySmart, MoneySmart HK reserves all right of legal investigation.
  7. State Spent active requirement with accumulated HK$300 transaction within 30 days of card issuance.
  8. All clauses within the terms and conditions stated by the bank will hold and are binding for this campaign without doubt or dispute.

  1. A “Successful Application” is defined as an application as the principal cardholder for the Eligible Credit Card made during the Qualifying Period via the MoneySmart website.
  2. [Referral Program] After applying for the card, the referrer could get extra $300 supermarket vouchers by referring each relatives and friends to apply as well.

  1. Each referrer may only get the reward if you and your referee have fulfilled the following requirements:

i) Completed card application and submitted rewards claim form on or before 18 Sep 2022

ii) Must perform accumulated transactions of HK$300 within 30 days of card issuance.

    iii)Referee must fill in the referrer’s registered email for approval; Otherwise, both the referrer and referee will lose their eligibility for the rewards.

  1. For the purpose of verification, the application reference numbers submitted on the claim form will be passed to the Credit Card Provider to validate if the application has been made via the link stated in Clause 5(a).

  1. Determination of the source of application is done via Credit Card Providers using the application URN number and at their full discretion.

  1. In the event of any dispute on the attribution of application source, MoneySmart reserves the right to defer to Credit Card Provider’s determination of application source.

Gift

  1. The “Gift” refers to HK$1,600 759 store e-voucher or HK$1,600 Apple Gift Card or Harman Kardon Aura Studio 3 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker .

  1. For purposes of awarding the Gift, the applicant has to be an “Eligible New Customer” who submits an application for an Eligible Card (refer to Table 1) as a main cardholder during the Qualifying Period via MoneySmart’s website;

  1. An Eligible New Customer will only be entitled to receive one (1) Gift, regardless of the number of Eligible Cards you may have successfully applied for.

  1. Eligible New Customers will get the choice of gift (if applicable) they chose when filling up the MoneySmart Claim Form (refer to clause 6b)
  2. Eligibility for the Additional Gift by the Credit Card Provider
  1. “Additional Gift” by the Credit Card Provider is applicable when Eligible Cardholders fulfill the relevant reward conditions/ spending conditions.

Unless otherwise specified, the above welcome offers are only applicable to New Customers.

  1. The Additional Gift (if applicable) will not be fulfilled together with any existing Business-As-Usual Gifts.

  1. Eligible New Customers shall be solely responsible to share the correct details with MoneySmart. MoneySmart shall not be responsible for any defaults/failure in gift redemption due to incorrect information(s) shared by the customers. In this regard:
  1. Participants who submit incomplete Claim Forms will not be eligible for any rewards. Participants who submit Claim Forms containing invalid or fraudulent information will also be disqualified from MoneySmart rewards.
  2. MoneySmart is not responsible for any information not received due to internet connectivity issues or otherwise.
  3. Claim Forms will not be confirmed as submitted until participants receive an email confirmation. MoneySmart may from time to time request participants to provide a copy of this email to verify their applications.
  4. Claim Form submissions confirmation do not equate to your application approval, nor does it confirm your Eligibility Conditions. These are all decided by the bank and the bank’s decision is final and binding.

  1. An Eligible New Customer whose application is approved within the “Qualifying Period” will receive their Sign-Up Gift within 4 months after the end of Promotion. 
  2. MoneySmart shall not be liable for delay or error in Gift transfer occurring due to any acts or omissions of the banks and/or due to any reason beyond its control.

  1. MoneySmart reserves the final right to change the Gifts given. In the case of delays in the delivery of the Gifts, MoneySmart will notify the recipients and make the necessary arrangements to deliver the Gifts.

  1. MoneySmart reserves the right to reject any Gift redemption if the application is found to be made via other channels, or completed outside of the Qualifying Period, and/or fraudulent, against the spirit of the promotion, or non-compliant with the Promotion Terms and Conditions. In the event of disputes, MoneySmart’s decision shall be final. Where we suspect a participant is participating in any form of unlawful activity or fraud, we reserve the right to report such activity or suspicions to the police or relevant authorities.
  2. For any enquiry regarding this promotion, customers are to contact MoneySmart on or before 31 Jan 2022, overdue enquiry will not be addressed. (Ongoing cases which were enquired before the deadline are excluded.)
  3. HKTVmall Card and all students' credit cards are not applicable to the promotion

General

  1. By participating in this Promotion, each participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. MoneySmart reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions of the Promotion at any time, without prior notice.

  1. This promotion cannot be combined with any other offers. The Successful Applicant shall NOT be further entitled to receive other rewards in relation to the same application for the Eligible Card, if any.

  1. Where eligibility for MoneySmart Promotion rewards are conditional on eligible product approval by the financial product issuer:
  1. Participants acknowledge and agree that approval on applications for all financial products (including but not limited to credit cards, insurance, and loans) are made at each product issuer’s discretion. Their decisions are final; MoneySmart does not guarantee the approval of any Credit Card and Loan products.
  2. The approved product must have been applied for via MoneySmart. MoneySmart shall consult with its product issuing part.

  1. MoneySmart’s decision on all matters relating to this Promotion is final and binding on all participants, including determining whether a claimant or claim is eligible under these terms.

  1. MoneySmart reserves the right to (at its own discretion) disqualify any participant and withhold or confiscate in full or part, any MoneySmart rewards if the participant is found to be, or reasonably suspected of participating in any form of fraudulent practices (including but not limited to false identities, doctoring images, wilful spamming or manipulation of any MoneySmart’s processes, or website).

  1. Where rewards are pertinent to credit card products: the participant has to make an application for a principal card, in order to be eligible for rewards (i.e. supplementary card applications do not qualify for additional rewards).

  1. Requests for exceptions on voucher conditions (including but not limited to extending validity dates, amending conditions, or reissuing vouchers) cannot be entertained; no exceptions are possible.

  1. Unless otherwise stated, all rewards assigned for respective product approval are not strictly exchangeable for cash or other gifts / rewards.

Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.

  1. 如果MoneySmart發現該申請是透過其他渠道提交,或在推廣期限之外完成的,和/或涉嫌欺詐,違反推廣目的,或不符合推廣條款及細則,則MoneySmart保留拒絕任何兌換獎賞的權利。如有爭議,MoneySmart保留最終決定權。如果我們懷疑申請人參與任何形式的非法活動或欺詐,我們將保留向警方或有關當局報告及追究權利。
  2. 如有任何關於本次優惠的查詢,請於2023年1月31日23:59(GMT+8)之前聯絡MoneySmart,逾期查詢恕不受理 (限期前提出查詢,正在跟進中的個案除外)
  3. HKTVmall 信用卡及所有學生信用卡均不適用於是次優惠

一般事項

  1. 參加活動即表示所有申請人同意受這些條款和條件。MoneySmart保留隨時修改推廣條款和細則的權利,恕不另行通知。
  2. 成功申請人將不再有權就是次推廣活動之指定信用卡的同一申請獲得其他獎勵(如有)。
  3. 申請指定信用卡並參與MoneySmart是次推廣的資格是由信用卡發卡機構作審核:
  1. 申請人了解並同意,所有金融產品(包括但不限於信用卡、保險和貸款)的申請均由該產品機構自行決定,並保留最終決定權; MoneySmart 不保證任何信用卡和貸款產品的審核狀況。
  2. 獲批的產品須經MoneySmart連結申請,MoneySmart將會與發卡機構核實。

  1. MoneySmart對與此推廣活動有關的所有事項保留最終決定權,並對所有申請人俱有約束力,包括確定申請人或申請是否符合這些獲獎的條件。

  4. 是次推廣不會作任何豁免,包括但不限於延長換領獎賞期限、更改條款或重發獎賞等豁免要求一律不會受理。
  5. 除特別說明之情況,所有已獲批之獎賞不能兌現或更改為其他獎賞。
