PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

        Kasetsart University is proud to offer a Master of Science program in sport management, aiming to explore the professional challenges and opportunities for managers in the complex international sporting landscape from a grassroots level to elite professional sport organizations and events. The course develops advanced skill sets needed for managers to operate in the sport industry. Moreover, the program is designed to enhance the career opportunities of established professionals, as well as assist individuals aspiring to develop a career in this unique sector.

        The course provides theories, models and case studies in order to understand the complex nature of the sport industry. The formation of the program is solidly based on research in the sport management which includes topical topics in high-performance sport, business strategies, strategic sport marketing and media, events and facilities management, finance, law, governance and organizational leadership. The program will give you access to leading experts in sport, business and public relations, marketing who possess a wealth of industry experience, including working with elite athletes and consulting to national sporting organizations.

        Some of the courses are as follows:

        - Advanced Marketing Analysis in Sport Management

WORK EXPERIENCE AND INTERNSHIPS

        You will have the opportunity to learn from practical industry experience and to network through an optional internship component. Through this component, you will gain valuable insight into the practice requirements and career opportunities of the global sport industry. Kasetsart University enjoys affiliations with numerous local, national and international sport organizations which grant access to real life opportunities including internships, work experience and research.

        Our program is designed to prepare you for a range of leadership and management roles in sport realms. Upon completion of the program, you will be well-positioned to seek employment in a range of settings in the multi-faceted sport industry at the local, national and international levels. The global context of the program will enable you to seek employment in any country. You may find employment in the government, community, private and not-for-profit sectors including professional sport teams, leagues and affiliated organizations,

community and government sport and recreation services, and local or national sport governing bodies, major event corporations, sport venue management, high-performance sport development and player management, sport advertising, media relations, sponsorship and marketing, apparel and merchandising companies, logistics, compliance and financial operations.

If a student cannot graduate within 2 years, the student needs to pay tuition fee of 23,000 THB/semester (for foreign student)  and 12,900 THB/semester (for Thai student)  to maintain their student status until graduation.

Asian Field Trip Study

Master students in sport management international program are required by the program to participate in a field trip study in Asian country for the minimum of 5 days on student expense (The maximum of 40,000 THB/person including airfare, transportation, accommodation, meal, and entry fee). The field trip study aims to broaden student perspectives and learn from one of the sport management best practice such as Korea, Japan, China, Singapore and other. The students will have opportunity to meet with students in partner universities as well as learn from experts in that country.
