Mary Morgan
Work Based Learning Coordinator
(803) 699-3500 ext. 69311
Students can shadow a person or persons in the career field of their interest for all or half of a day. Students should make their interest known to Mrs. Morgan and complete the proper paperwork. Mrs Morgan can assist students with finding a placement or the student may know who they would like to shadow. The day of shadowing does count as a field trip absence. Certain qualifications do apply and vary depending on the area of interest.
Each student works at a site according to his or her career interest. The student works under the supervision of an employee at the work site. Work hours are determined by the student and the work site supervisor. The major goal of the Work Based Learning program is for students to learn about and experience working in a career choice with a real world work scenario.
Spring Valley High School is proud to work with great community and business partnerships. Add your name to our list by providing job shadowing or work-based learning situations for our students
