Educator Licensing - Annandale Schools

The purpose of this document is to provide staff with educator licensing information. This information is also available on the PELSB website and in the Google Slides presentations linked to this document under “additional resources.” The links and directions below will help you navigate what is needed regarding your license. If you have any questions, please contact your Continuing Ed Building Reps.

View Your License

  1. Click on the link.
  2. Enter your file folder number or first and last name.

Check Clock Hours (125 required)

  1. Click on the link.
  2. Enter the “Online Licensing System”
  1. If this is the first time entering the system, you will need your license file number and your serial number.
  2. The serial number is on your license that was emailed to you; it’s not on the license look-up.  You can also search for your file folder and serial number after you log in with your Google account. (Follow the online instructions.) If you don't have your serial number, please click on the link at the bottom of the webpage to have your serial number sent to you.

Turning In Clock Hours

  1. Fill out a form.
  2. Turn it into your continuing education building representative.
  3. No clock-hour approval form is needed for the district or

MAWSECO sponsored staff development.  Submitting the

verification of attendance form is sufficient.

Renewing Your License

  1. Click on the link.
  1. If this is the first time entering the system, you will need your license file folder number and your serial number.
  2. The serial number is on your license that was emailed to you; it’s not on the license look-up.  You can also search for your file folder and serial numbers after you log in with your Google account. If you don’t have your serial number, please click on the link at the bottom of the page to have your serial number sent to you.
  1. Go to Current Educator.  Then, to Renew My License.  Follow the online instructions to renew your license.  You will receive an email verification when your license renewal is completed and being processed.
  2. Your new license will be emailed to you.  Submit a copy of your new license to Kacy Muldoon at the District Office.

New Licensing Changes and Current Requirements

  1. There are four license tiers with different requirements for each tier. Most of our current staff hold a Tier 4 license.

Overall Tier Structure

  1. All educators must show evidence of  “cultural competency training” beginning  January 1, 2020. To meet this requirement, click on the link for approved trainings. This requirement can also be met through graduate courses (you must turn in a copy of your transcript and provide a course description or syllabus).

  1. All educators must show evidence of suicide prevention training

  1. All educators must show evidence of understanding the onset of mental illness in children/adolescents.

Suicide Prevention Training Requirements

  1. English Language Learners' Reflection is required.

  1. Evidence of Accommodations, Modifications, and Adaptations to curriculum, materials, and instruction is required.
