Dear Parents,

Our students had a wonderful time at Wolf Mountain. What an amazing time of fellowship and fun while spending time in God’s presence - truly a memorable experience for all. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Sonnenfelt, Mrs. Ferrari, Mr. Brazovan, and Mr. Armstrong for transporting our students and serving as sponsors at camp.

Feed My Starving Children Mobile-Pack Event - Friday, October 20. Permission slips and informational letters were sent home last Friday.  Please return permission slips by this Friday, October 13. We are officially registered for this event, and we are looking forward to a great day of service with your child. You may visit www.fmsc.org for more information about the event.

Parent/Teacher Conferences - Thursday & Friday, October 26-27

First quarter ends on October 20 - this means conference time is coming soon, and we are really looking forward to meeting with you.  Please click HERE to schedule a time to meet with us to confer about your child’s progress through the 1st quarter.  

Just a reminder -  Thursday, October 26, is a minimum day and students will be dismissed at 12:00 P.M. On Friday, October 27, there will be no school. Daycare is still available for both days.

THIS WEEK:

Bible (Mr. Ortiz)

Last week we had an amazing time at Wolf Mountain! I am excited to continue our lessons as your students grow in their relationship with Christ. The scripture quiz for this week is 1 Peter 1:15-16. This week we will be finishing up Unit 2. This means our Unit Test is coming up on Wednesday October 18.


Language Art (Mrs. Johnson):

This week students will learn spelling/vocabulary List 6 with a test on Friday.  In grammar, we will study commas and take a test on Friday. In reading, students are once again reading inspirational stories from Mountain Pathways and will take a reading vocabulary/comprehension Quiz 5 on Wednesday.

Math 7/6 (Mrs. Johnson):

This week students will take Test 4 on Monday. Students will then complete lessons 26 - 29.

*Students who score a C or lower on any assignment or test must do corrections by the next test date.

Math 6/5 (Mrs. Svirida):

Complete lesson 29-31. Test 5 Wednesday. Students will complete lesson 24-26 “Practice sets” on paper for homework and turn in Wednesday. Please label. Students need to practice for mastery of long division.

Social Studies (Mrs. Daniel):

This week we will continue our study of Ch.3 Ancient Egypt.  Chapter three test will be next week!

Science (Mrs. Northman):

On Tuesday there will be a test covering 1.5-1.8 of chapter 2. Students will then begin a unit on Invertebrates..

Music (Dr. Muntean):

We will be finishing Lesson 3 Assignment and testing on #4 & #5. Students are allowed to re-take #2 and #3 to improve their grades.
