Cell Phone Policy:

Students shall be personally responsible for the security of their electronic communication devices. The school assumes no responsibility for the theft, loss, or damage of such devices NHCS Board Policy No. 4318.

• Your cell phone/communication device AND EARBUDS should be TURNED OFF AND PUT AWAY so as to not be visible at all times while in ANY Classroom.
  

If all teachers are consistent with this policy in all classes and with all students, the administrative team will be able to be consistent with consequences. It should be handled the same way as any other infraction (conversation with student, give time for behavior to change, conversation with parent, give time for the behavior to change, referral).

Welcome to World History with Mrs. Wilkinson! This semester we will explore each continent and the civilizations that have lived, conquered, thrived, and perished there. Join me on the fascinating journey of our world’s history!

Things to know:

• We will be using the Canvas classroom.  

• All material will be located on this platform
• A weekly schedule will be posted the first day of the school week
• ALL class resources will be available on this platform

Canvas- this platform can be accessed by logging into your PowerSchool portal. Once classes are published you will receive an email acknowledging your entrance into the class.

• If you’re new to Powerschool please see the “How To Claim Your NCedCloud Account” for more information on accessing your Powerschool and Canvas accounts.

Grading-

• Units will be due in their entirety.
• All homework assignments can be resubmitted for a better grade after they have been graded.

• Please email me once the grade has been submitted. Constant communication is key.  
• Honors late penalty- 1 point a day will be deducted for late submissions.
  

• There are no retakes or resubmission on performance scores i.e.:

• Quizzes
• Projects
• Papers
• Tests
  

• The county has a 40/60 grading system on a 10 point scale.

Material needed if you choose to work off of Canvas:

• Writing utensils
• Charger for laptop
