What is the Home Access Center (HAC)?

The Home Access Center (HAC) is the portal used by students and parents/guardians to view real time attendance information, in-progress grades, progress reports, report cards, and discipline information for students attending courses at East or West Leyden High School.  It also includes unofficial transcripts and contact information.

Most HAC content will be displayed in the preferred language on file for each parent/guardian.  To get the entire HAC site translated into your preferred language, we recommend the following option:

  1. Use the Chrome web browser on a computer
  2. Install the Google Translate extension
  3. Log into HAC
  4. Use the Google Translate extension to translate each page



How to log in


  1. Click the Home Access Center (HAC) icon from the featured list of shortcuts that appears either below the video on the Leyden website homepage or near the top of all other Leyden website pages or use the following direct web address/URL: https://hac.leyden212.org/HomeAccess



  2. Enter your email address for the User Name and your password

NOTE:

If you do not remember your HAC password, please choose one of the following options to get a temporary password generated for you:

  • Call your Assistant Principal’s office
    East: (847) 451-3025
    West: (847) 451-3121
  • Send an email to techsupport@leyden212.org.
  • Leave a voicemail for the Technology Department at
    (847) 451-5591



The Home Page


The HAC Home Page displays a week view with the following information:

The Attendance Page

The HAC Attendance page displays a month view of the calendar.  Highlighted dates indicate that one or more attendance codes have been entered on that date.  You can mouse over the highlighted dates to view the specific codes.

The Classes Page

The HAC Classes Page has two tabs: Classwork and Schedule.

The
Classwork tab displays a list of all assignments, assessments, and grades.

Gradebook Categories and Special Codes

All assignments and assessments will be in one of two categories:

Teachers may use one or more of the the following special gradebook codes for individual assignments or assessments:

Code

What it means

A-Absent

Student was absent when the assignment/assessment was due.

S-Submitted

The assignment has been completed and is waiting to be graded by the teacher.

E-Excused

The student is excused from completing the assignment.

I-Incomplete

The student is expected to complete the assignment, but it is not currently factored into the overall grade/average.

M-Missing

The student is expected to complete the assignment and it is currently included in the overall grade/average as a zero.

L-Late

The assignment is currently overdue.

0-Zero

The grade is a permanent zero and cannot be made up.

The HAC Student Support Page displays discipline incidents by school year.


The Registration Page

The HAC Registration Page includes two tabs: Demographic and Update Enrollment.

The Demographic tab displays the following information:

NOTE: Clicking on the ‘Edit’ button in the Contacts section of this page will allow parents and guardians to update their email address on file with the district. If any other information needs to be updated, please call your Assistant Principal’s office (East: 847-451-3025 or West: 847-451-3121).

The Update Enrollment tab displays the link to the online Enrollment system used to enroll/register students for the upcoming/next school year.  Information about when enrollment begins each year will be shared from the Assistant Principal’s Office.

How to switch between students

If you have more than one student attending Leyden, you can click on the drop-down menu near the upper right corner of your window to select a different student to view.

Mobile App

There is a mobile app version of the Home Access Center called the eSchoolPLUS Family App.

Note: The mobile app does not currently support translations and is only available in English.  To view the Home Access Center in an alternate language, please use the web version.
