Our Goals

Mission Equality does not tolerate discrimination or harassment of any kind including but not limited to discrimination or harassment on the basis of gender, age, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnicity, religion, disability, form of neurodiversity, or veteran status. The purpose of this policy is:

Impact & Scope

All leaders, employees, contractors, associates, partners and affiliates of Mission Equality (the company) will read and sign to confirm that they agree with the principles of this policy and that they will follow its procedures without exception in all that they do as a member of or a representative of the company.

Policy Statement

Mission Equality is committed for the duration of its existence to being an anti-discriminatory organisation. This means that everything we think, feel, express and do will be from an acknowledgement of the existence of discrimination and a continuous movement away from it and toward anti-discrimination, and creating belonging.

Anti-Discrimination Statement

Mission Equality prohibits discrimination or harassment based on protected personal characteristics, including, but not limited to, ethnicity, race, colour, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, immigration status, language or accent, religion, creed, age, sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, personal appearance, medical condition, genetic information, marital or domestic/civil partnership status, personal appearance, military or veteran status, or any other status protected by law. Discrimination and harassment related to racism are also covered by our anti-racism policy.

Anti-Retaliation Statement

Mission Equality will not retaliate against you if you file a complaint or a discrimination or harassment lawsuit. Any stakeholder who retaliates or discriminates against someone reporting discrimination or harassment will be held to account.

Definitions of key terms

The following definitions are a guide to the meaning of certain key terms used in this policy.

Sexual harassment is illegal and we will seriously investigate relevant reports. If an employee is found guilty of sexual harassment, they will be terminated. If a contractor is found guilty of sexual harassment, their contract will be terminated.
