Intro
Welcome to The Angry Chicken!
PSA: Patch 18.6 dropped today, and with it two changes to Standard Balance. Evocation now costs 2 mana, and Solarian Prime now costs 9 mana.
There are also some BG fixes, including the Djinni bug!
Updates
- Djinni and Salty Looter fixed
- Party changes
- Rating gains only impacted by those outside your party
- Matchmaking based on highest player in your party instead of an average
- End of game ratings will take this into account
- Can no longer queue as a party above 10k MMR
Known Issues
- Parties currently disabled due to MMR bug
- Paladins in Duel can get empty buckets (in addition to the ones in there on purpose)

New Expansion - Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
While the denizens of Azeroth may expect an outing filled with family-friendly fun at the fairgrounds, they’ll instead find a creepy carnival corrupted by rigged games of chance, deep-fried foods of mysterious origin, and the tentacled grips of unspeakable horrors.
- C’Thun, Yogg-Saron, Y’Shaarj, and N’Zoth all return as new Legendary cards
- “Corrupt” - new keyword
- If you play a card with a higher mana cost the card will get a bonus. Like Spellstones
- Gets new art when upgraded
- Players can tamper with four Old God Artifacts whose match-altering, unpredictable effects hearken back to the abilities of the original Old Gods designs.
- Players who pre-purchase a Madness at the Darkmoon Faire bundle will also receive early access to the new Hearthstone: Duels play mode from October 22 to November 11

- Each piece is a 5 mana spell with a unique effect

- Heart - Deal 3 damage to all minions
- Body - Summon 6/6 taunt
- Maw - Destroy a minion
- Cast them all to get C’thun shuffled into your deck
- Still has to be drawn and played
- Deals 30 damage split among enemies as a BC when reassembled
- Wheel of Yogg - Have to play 10 spells, then the wheel comes up to be spun
- Spins, one time powerful effect
- 6 options, Rod of Roasting is 5% chance, everything else is 19%
- Destroy all other minions and Yogg gains their stats, fill the board with random minions but yours have rush, gain control of 3 enemy minions, Fill your hand with 0 mana spells (this turn only), Cast a spell for each spell you’ve cast this game
- Rez a minion of each type
- Add copies of all the corrupted cards you’ve played to your hand. They cost 0 this turn

- Season will be expansion based, new theme with every expansion cycle
- No leaderboards will be posted, but you will have an MMR
- Collection matters
- Unlocks Hero Powers and Treasures
- I.E. Having cards in your collection will unlock different hero powers
- If you own Prof. Slate legendary as hunter, you will have the option to play his hero power in Duels
- I.E. Owning # of cards from new expansion, different treasures
- "All Hero Powers and Treasures added after Duels: Early Access can be unlocked by meeting a variety of criteria associated with your Collection. For example, unlocking a new Hero Power may require owning a corresponding Legendary card. Or to unlock a specific Treasure, you might need to own 30 Epic cards from a given set."

- Build deck of 15 cards after choosing hero and treasure (actually 16 cards when you factor in the treasure card)

- An Achievements system that tracks your in-game accomplishments.
- A central Reward Track for all earnable rewards outside of Standard & Wild.
- A Quest revamp that supports daily and weekly quests.
- An updated Profile page with player info, ranks, and stats.
- Include achievements related to your class, collection, ranked milestones, Solo Adventures, Tavern Brawls, Duels and Battlegrounds, and more.
- New achievements will be added with each expansion, future game mode, and major update.
- REWARD TRACK & TAVERN PASS:
- New track with every expansion
- 50 levels
- Experience earned through completing quests, earning select achievements and by just playing, in more game modes than ever before
- Players will earn gold, card packs, cards, and cosmetics, receiving more rewards for their time
- Free Reward Track will be free for all players and is found in your Journal.
- Completing all 50 levels of the Reward Track will earn players one of 10 all-new Hero Skins.
- Players can choose which one they want

- Like daily quests, players can reroll one weekly quest per day
- Legendary quests will no longer override daily quests
- players should complete any they are still working on soon as most quests will reset on November 12 when the progression system debuts.
- All players will have an in-game profile page that displays lifetime statistics for their accounts, including current rank, Battlegrounds and Duels rating, total wins per class, upcoming rewards, and more.
