Reuse Rendezvous Accepted Items
These used materials can be donated or dropped off that Energy Corridor’s first-ever “Reuse Rendezvous”:

E-waste:
Will Take: Computers servers, routers, hubs, switches, DVD Players, laptops, cable boxes, power cords, cables, ink jet cartridges, UPS TVs (CRT TV's up to 36"), cellular phones, mice & keyboards, VCRs, telephones, wire, toner cartridges, monitors, desktop copiers, printers, scanners, fax machines, flat panel TVs (up to 55") Can’t Take: If it’s not on this list, assume it isn’t accepted. Wheelchairs:
Used wheelchairs, manual and electric, walkers, mobility scooters |
Children’s books:
Needed: Like-New Pre-K through 5th-grade books, storybooks, chapter books, leveled readers, fun non-fiction books, Board/toddler books, Spanish or dual language books Can’t take: Books in poor condition, religious books, workbooks, coloring books, sticker books, puzzle books, reference books, textbooks, flash cards, Audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, library withdrawals, etc. |
Bikes:
Will take: Used bikes in working order or in need of some repair. Can’t take: Bikes with excessive rust on frames and bikes with broken or cracked frames, broken spokes or damaged front forks. We do not accept electric bikes, scooters or tag-alongs. |
Pet care supplies:
Old (clean) towels, blankets, newspaper and used pet related items in good condition (ex: toys, leashes, etc). Donations will benefit Citizens for Animal Protection. |
Gently used camping gear:
Sleeping bags and tents in good serviceable condition only. Donations will benefit local Scouts of the Sam Houston Area Council. |
Plastic film:
Will Take (if clean and dry): Grocery bags, produce bags, case wrap, air pillows, bubble wrap, bread bags, dry cleaning bags, cereal bags, ice bags, sandwich bags Can’t Take: Frozen food bags, chip bags, salad bags, candy wrappers, soil/mulch bags, paper padded bags, bioplastic / compostable plastic These are typical “store take-back” recyclables. |
