Highway Cleanup

Our center participates in Adopt-A-Highway cleanup twice a year.  The statewide Adopt-A-Highway program was established in 1988 and is a joint effort between community volunteers and NC Department of Transportation to keep our roads clean.  JSCNC adopted a stretch of Highway 54 in Cary between Morrisville Parkway and Airport Boulevard. This stretch is named in honor of Mr. Lalit Banker.

This tradition continued on October 14th under the leadership of Mr. Pritesh Shah and Mr. Bhairav Shah.

A few captured memories for this at the link below, courtesy of Mr. Harshadbhai Shah:

4. Food Table Corner

Food served during monthly meetings and special events has played a vital role in building our community over the years. It has enabled us to spend quality time to learn Jainism and socialize with other fellow Jains without having to worry about our usual lunch/dinner planning that day. In fact it has also served as an incentive to come together and promote our community. This wouldn't have been possible without the hard work and monetary donations from several individuals. We are extremely grateful for their efforts and thank them for their continued contributions. Visit the following link to find more details on these individuals.

2017 Food Volunteers & Sponsors

Note that as our community has grown over the years, sustaining the food table program has become challenging. We encourage you to help us here by volunteering to serve as a host, volunteering to prepare food or providing monetary donation so that some food items can be catered.

Please contact our food coordinator, Neha Mehta @ (919) 454-7447 for any questions / details.

October Monthly Meeting Lunch

We are grateful to Vasantbhai and Prabhaben Sejpal for sponsoring the October monthly meeting (Diwali) lunch.

Also thanks to Ushaben Doshi for serving as the host.

Food Table Schedule

Food Table Team - please continue to refer to the below link for your assignments. Updates are highlighted in Yellow.
