I hope your Christmas was wonderful and I would also like to wish you a Happy New Year with many blessings. I missed the children! I want to thank you for the many gifts and cards I received; it was very nice that you thought of me. It gave the children great joy to give me a gift. Also, I hope you enjoyed the children’s gift they made. It will be a great keepsake to bring out and hang every Christmas. I would like to thank you for providing items for our party, for those who came to help and Mrs. Brazovan for the beautiful birthday cakes for Jesus.
Reading Workshop: Just a reminder the we have set aside Tuesday, January 16th, at 7:00 p.m.,for a reading workshop in my classroom (C-9). We will explain the process we use in class to teach the children to read. Our hope is that you will then be able to do the same things at home as you work with your child. We will also go over reading homework, which will begin the Thursday after the workshop. It will be important to know how it will work. Since reading is the basis for learning, success is very important. That is why we are taking the time to do this. I know it will be beneficial to you.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day: There is no school on Monday, January 15th. All the facilities will be closed. We will spend the week learning about why we celebrate this holiday.
Pictures! Pictures! We need pictures from our field trips or classroom activities for our yearbook. Please use the dropbox to send your pictures for our page. Thank you!
Student of the Week: We will honor Vada Medina this week and Jonathan Popov next week. Please send pictures and favorite items to display and share. Don’t forget to bring a special snack to share with the class. Vada will take Bubbles home on Friday for the weekend. Be sure to bring him back on Monday.
Share Day: Please allow the children to bring something they got for Christmas.
Dollar Day: This Friday is free dress for those who bring a dollar. Monies will go toward needs for the class.
