- Dave will make Eric F a log in for Square so that the card reader in Eric F’s office is no longer used and we can eliminate Shift CC Fees.
- Terry will follow up with Coke about donating soda for Fish Fry as we did receive an invoice.
- Still waiting to hear back from Higgins about the outstanding March bill that is in question.
- Discussion of season operating prices

Fundraising:
- More donations are continuing to come in:
- $10,000 from Sanford, etc.
- PB Communications donated $4,800 in exchange for one sheet of rock handle engravings.
- Team Industries made a donation.
- Working on getting the club on the next Round Up with Beltrami Electric
- Talked with NWMF about one of the grants it looked like we would qualify for but location restrictions does not allow us to qualify as we are above 20th St.
- Dave sent board the list of names and businesses that have donated so we can keep track and follow up with names we don’t see.
- Fish Fry profit was $6,977. Mike Liapis purchased remainder of the fish from the club for the State Senior Bonspiel.
- We would like to pay the clubs general fund the event rental fee from this fundraising event. Some funds have already been deposited in the clubs account from the donations that were made by card at the fish fry event.
Motion to pay the event rental difference to the club account of $616.69.

- Bemidji Brewery Community Spotlight Night is November 30th from 5-8. We will need to reschedule the November Board Meeting because of that.
Ice Plant Update:
- Old ice plant has been removed.
- New chiller is in. Pumps have been delayed past Thanksgiving so old pumps will be used to get season started.
- Compressor is a champ! Rodrigo is going to re wire it to run in our cold temps.
- Possible startup date of next week. Waiting on confirmation of Rodrigo’s schedule.
- Looking for season start date of November 28th but will wait until next week to confirm and announce open date after more work on the plant has been completed.
- New plant is still scheduled to ship in January.
- Someone purchased the old plant for $5,000. Money will go to the general account, potentially covering outstanding Higgins bill.
Club Calendar:
- Bonspiels have been added to our club calendar that is linked on our website.
- Eric F will send additional private bonspiels to be added.
- Paul Bunyan Bonspiel will take the 1st week of March.
Championship Banners:
- Dave talked with Myers to get info for Championship Banners to be made.
Insurance:
- Insure Forward will attend our November Meeting
- Paul will review our current waivers that we have in place.
Key Cards/Club Access:
- Eric F ordered more key cards. Paul, Judy, Jen, & Bill all need one.
- Eric F spoke with Bonded Lock & Key about different access options for the club. Waiting on quotes.
Bar Manager Report:
- Pull Tabs ended up being short last season. Moving forward for this season Cathy & Paul will be the only people allowed to sell Pull Tabs and boxes will remain locked to help in less errors made.
- Kevin can help show Cathy and Paul how to self-audit the boxes so we can have a better idea of where we stand on each box.
- Cathy will ask if any dispensers or electric games are available that would make it harder for errors to be made.
- Cathy would like to serve pizza this upcoming season. Pizza has been popular on Thursday nights from Dave’s but serving our own would allow for more profit, better tracking, and serving on all nights at more times. Pizza oven proposal was shown. Cathy will look into what our current oven can do and do some more research now that the board is interested in this option as well.
- Paul and Cathy will be going to Hawaii for Christmas. Help will be needed at the bar during this time.
- Cathy will work on verbiage about the bar that can be featured on our website and Facebook.
Membership Form:
- Payment plan option will be removed from the Membership Form until we are able to find a way to automate that process.
- Credit Card information will be removed and a note to pay by card at the club will be added so we are not storing peoples credit card information.
- Sales Tax amount will be included instead of being added at the end. A line will be added to note that so people understand why the price has changed.
- 3% increase will be completed that was voted on earlier in the meeting.
Motion to move Early Pay Discount Date to December 9th
1st: Dave Willford
2nd: Eric Johannsen
Passed
- We will create a separate form for Membership For A Day option for subs and Wednesday Flex League participants.
- League Chair information will be added to membership form.
- Paul will review the Release of Liability that is on the membership form.
- Email on the form should be info@bemidjicurling.org
- Rob will make an online form to allow people to pay online as well.
- Eric J will make changes needed to the Membership Form.
Club Merchandise:
- Jen & Jordan went to Skeeter Stitch and a flyer is being made for a Long Sleeve, Crew Neck and Hoodie option. One design is varsity lettering with a rock and the other is the buffalo plaid logo.
- These will all be offered through pre-order so that there is no cost to the club and profits made can help pay for merchandise that can be sold at the club.
Kitchen Carpet:
- Mark Haluptzok stopped by the club to evaluate the Kitchen Carpet that needs to be replaced.
- He would like to also fix the floor behind the bar, buff the tiles in the bar area, and sand and stain the trim around tiles in bar area.
- Goal is for these to be completed before the season starts.
- Stu will follow up with costs of above projects and also about painting bar area walls before carpet is replaced.
USCA Vote:
- Jaime and Dave attended online meeting
- GNCC quit before being kicked out.
- Other issues have arisen with USCA CEO and he is taking a leave of absence until investigation is completed on how he handled sexual assault allegations with National Women’s Soccer League.
- Other clubs have made public statements regarding the above issues. BCC Board does not have a strong stand point at this time to make statement but wanted to bring it to the boards attention.
