Cooper called the meeting to order and initiated a roll call.
No public comment was received or heard.
Fiscal Year 24 Second Quarterly Financial Report: George proposed a motion to approve the Quarterly Financial Report. Frazier seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Fiscal Year 24 Second Quarter Legislative Report: Commissioner Stephens proposed a motion to approve the Quarterly Legislative Report. Bryan seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
The Board discussed legislative updates. An additional item that was discussed but was not on the agenda was the Treasurer’s BUILD Authority Act. A proposed amendment to the Middle-Income Housing Tax Credit, HB24-1316, was discussed at length. Board provided direction for Cooper to work with Mike & Peter to submit a letter of request to bill sponsors for an amendment to make the new tax credit compatible with MIHA as well as any other action needed to advocate for the amendment.
The Board discussed the subcommittee meeting that occurred on March 28, 2024. A discussion topic was whether MIHA should hire a second consultant to help projects that don’t have as sophisticated of developers. Next steps are for Cooper to draft a budget and scope of costs for hiring a consultant and present this to the Board.

E. Other Business
The Board discussed meeting in person for the next meeting on May 17th. Cook will see which date works best for legislative guests to join.
