Description: The Black Student Union provides a communal, safe space on campus centered on supporting African American students while welcoming all. Brown Girl Book Club

Description: Open to all 10–12th grade students, the Brown Girl Book Club centers on female-identifying students who identify as Black or Brown (Black, African American, South Asian, Latina, etc.). The club provides a safe and supportive space to build community, explore identity, and engage with literature. Through collaborative learning and texts that reflect lived experiences, members develop discussion skills, deepen understanding, and connect with peers.

Description: Dear Asian Youth is an organization created by Asian youth to promote and uplift Asian culture. At Jordan, the goal is to build a diverse community and create a space where everyone can come together and share their cultures. Meetings include crafts, movie days, games, potlucks, and presentations highlighting different Asian holidays and cultures, as well as discussions of current topics affecting the Asian community.

Description: DECA is a student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Through competitive events, leadership opportunities, and real-world experiences, DECA helps students develop critical thinking, communication, and professional skills that will set them up for success in college and careers.

Domestic Violence Awareness Club

National Honor Society

Description: The National Honor Society for Dance Arts is an honor society for the Jordan High Dance Program. Students who take dance classes and maintain a 3.0+ GPA at Jordan are eligible for induction. Students earn points toward graduating with honors by participating in the dance program.

Poetry Out Loud

Description: Read, recite, and share your voice! Poetry Out Loud is a national program and competition for high school students. Participants select, memorize, and recite classic and contemporary poems while preparing for school, district, regional, and state competitions. Everyone is welcome to join. The district competition takes place in the winter, and the state competition occurs in the spring.

Spanish National Honor Society – Ricardo Montalbán Chapter

Description: The Spanish National Honor Society promotes excellence in the study of the Spanish language and appreciation of Hispanic cultures. Each year, members participate in an induction ceremony, organize cultural events, provide tutoring and mentoring for Spanish students, and engage in meaningful service projects that connect with the Latino community. Through these activities, SNHS fosters leadership, language growth, and cross-cultural understanding.
