Students currently studying outside of Ontario are individually assessed to determine grade placement.

Admission to other Year levels is limited and based on re-enrolment and space.

Non-intake year candidates are shortlisted in the spring. We do not admit any students directly into Year 12.

ENTRANCE TESTS / INTERVIEWS / DECISIONS

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN, SENIOR KINDERGARTEN, YEARS 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and BOARDING

Completed applications are reviewed and selected candidates are contacted for interviews and entrance tests.
In some cases, we wait for test results before scheduling interviews.

Day decisions for Junior Kindergarten will be sent on April 14, 2026. All other day decisions are sent on February 20, 2026. Boarding decisions are made on a rolling basis from December to May.

ASSESSMENT

JK to Year 9 (Day):

JK: Applicants are invited to attend a small group activity on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

SK: Applicants are invited to attend a small group activity on January 17, 2026.  

Year 3:  Small group activities will take place on November 27, 28, and December 4, 5, 10, and 11, 2025.

Year 5: Small group activities and assessments take place in person on November 27, 28, and December 4, 5, 10, and 11, 2025. 

Years 6 to 9: Small group activities take place in person on November 15, 29, and December 13, 2025.  Academic assessments take place virtually throughout November and December 2025.  Please note that students are required to participate in one group activity and one assessment.

Year 8 to Year 11 (Boarding): 
All candidates applying to boarding will be offered an online entrance assessment hosted by the UCC Admission Team. These are offered upon completion of an online application.


*Additional language testing may be required for international students whose primary language of instruction is not English.

LIMITED ENTRY (YEAR 1, 2, 4  AND 11)

If space is available, selected limited entry year candidates are contacted in late February through  April.
