• Alameda Bicycle - 1522 Park St, Alameda, 510-522-0070. Salsa, Specialized, Surly, Tern Electric catalog shows 132 commuter, cargo, folding & mountain bikes, 16 in store starting at $2,000. 6 models $2,000-$3,000. Participant in the Ava Electric program.  Most of the ebikes they carry qualify.
• Blue Heron Bikes - 1306 Gilman St, Berkeley 510-524-1937. Brompton. Bullitt, Gazelle, Gocycle, Lemond, Marin, Riese & Muller, Tern, Triobike  Urban Arrow, & Yuba. Electric catalog shows commuter, folding, and cargo models. Their online catalog does not show prices or stock, but they usually have a good selection of ebikes in stock. They have sold ebikes since 2012. Participant in the Ava Electric program. Many of their ebikes qualify
• Cycle City Alameda - 1433 High St, Alameda 510-521-2872. Trek. Electric catalog shows 6 commuter models starting at $2,400. 2 at $2,400, 2 at $3,000.  Participant in the Ava Electric program. All ebike models qualify.
• Laurel Cyclery - 3715 MacArthur Blvd, Oakland, 510-328-1158. Marin. Electric catalog only shows one commuter ebike in stock at $2,900. Participant in the Ava Electric program. The onemode qualifies.
• Mike's Bikes - 1824 University Ave, Berkeley 510-845-2453. Cannondale,Cervelo, Gazelle, Giant,  LIV, Momentum, Pivot, Salsa, Santa Cruz, Urban Arrow, and Yuba. Electric catalog shows 109 models in stock starting at $1,500, including commuter and cargo models. 8 models under $2,000. 23 models at $2-3,000. As of this update there were 26 in the Berkeley store starting at $2,000, but all “in stock” can be retrieved from other area stores or their distribution center in less than a week for a tryout. Participant in the Ava Electric program. Most but not all ebikes under $3,000 qualify.
• New Wheel Electric Bikes - 1446 Leimert Blvd, Oakland, 415-524-7362. Gazelle, Orbea, Tern, Riese & Muller, Urban Arrow  from $2,600. Participant in the Ava Electric program. Most of the ebikes they carry qualify.
• Pacific E Bikes - 843 Carleton, Berkeley, 510-843-2453 (text). Hovsco, Magnum, and others. Electric catalog shows 11 bikes starting at $1,500 including commuter, cargo, folding, and trike models. 8 models under $2,000, 3 models at $2-3,000. Pacific also does conversions of standard bikes to ebikes. Not a Participant in the Ava Electric program.
• Rad Power - 2734 San Pablo, Berkeley. All Rad Power. Electric catalog shows 12 models starting at $1,000, including commuter, cargo, folding, and trike models. 8 models under $2,000. 4 from $2,000-$2,400.   All Rad Power models are usually in stock and available for test rides. May be purchased for self-assembly or assembled.  Participant in the Ava Electric program. All ebikes qualify
• REI - 1338 San Pablo Ave, Berkeley  510-527-4140 Benno, Cannondale, Co-op (REI house brand), Electra, Salsa, Tern & Woom. Electric catalog shows 17 models (in stores) from $1,200, including commuter, folding, cargo and mountain models. 7 models under $2,000. 7 models $2-3,000. The Berkeley store usually has two to twelve models in the store and can obtain others from other stores in the region. REI carries many more models that can be shipped - 26 total as of this survey. Not participating in the Ava Electric program.
• Rhythm Bikes - 6112 La Salle Ave, Oakland, 510-339-2953. Bombtraack, Electra, Salsa, Santa Cruz, Surly, Specialized, Trek. Electric catalog shows 107 models starting at $1,200. 11 models under $2,000. 8 models from $2,000-3,000. Website shows in store availability. Participant in the Ava Electric program. Most of the ebikes under $3,000 qualify.
• Sports Basement - 2727 Milvia, Berkeley, 510-984-3907. Aventon, BMC, Cannondale, Troxus. Electric catalog shows 21 models, including commuter, cargo, and folding starting at $1,200. 9 models under $2,000. 10 bikes $2-$3,000.  Website indicates individual model availability in the Berkeley store. Usually can be obtained from another Bay area store in 3 days. Also rent several types of e-bikes. Rental rates are Day $75-110, Weekend $115-165, Week (up to 9 days?) $220-230, Month $430-450. Participant in the Ava Electric program and most of the  ebikes they currently carry qualify.
• Stay True Cycles - 2116 Vine St, Berkeley, 510-725-6281. Marin, Norco, Specialized. Catalog shows 2 commuter ebikes ($2,400 & $3,000 and other more expensive mountain e bikes. Participant in the Ava Electric program. Both commuter bikes qualify.

• Trek - 3530 Grand Ave, Oakland  510-370-2890. Trek & Electra Electric catalog shows 88 commuter and mountain models starting at $900. 24 models under $2,000. 20 models $2-3,000. Website indicates individual model availability in store.  Participant in the Ava Electric program. Most of their bikes under $3,000 qualify.
• TipTop Bike Shop - 4800A Telegraph Ave, Oakland, 510-444-4148 Benno, Marin, & Yuba. Electric catalog shows 5 commuter & cargo models starting at $2,000. Call or visit to confirm in store availability. Participant in the Ava Electric program. Qualifying bikes in stock: 2@ $2,000, 1 at $4,100).
• Zach Kaplan Cycles - 1518 Buena Vista Ave, Alameda 510-522-2368. Specializes in recumbent bikes and trikes, including conversions and adaptive models. AZUB, Bachetta, Catrike, HP Velotechnik, Lightning, & Inspired Engineering. Always has models for test rides.

Repairs

• BikeHub Berkeley Bike Station - 2023 Center St, 510-548-7433 no bike sales, but repairs many brands of ebikes. Surcharge for ebikes and will not repair ebike electronics, but will address all non electric issues.
