Bashing Baseballs Guest Guide: Location of Station
What to Expect?
- We ask that you remain at this station throughout the entire Field Trip
- A Junction Sports Staff Station Supervisor will aid with this station
- Most students will be familiar with the idea of a “baseball/softball hitting” but for some, this will be their first time participating in this format
- Some students will be more excited than others
- This is a slower paced station due to the fact that only one person/cage is permitted.
- Safety is our biggest concern here. With JPLEX Staff and your working together by using the same language/laying of expectations.
Rules
- One students per cage at a time
- Exception being when a JPLEX Station Supervisor or you call “Balls Up”. All bats must be placed in the hands of a supervising adult before the call is made. Then, all students enter cages to help pick up balls
- Players not in batting cage will be seated outside of the cages in designated taped squares
- Students will be divided into 4 separate cages. Students will have 1 minute to hit as many balls as possible off of the tee located in each station
Tips
- Follow the lead of the JPS Staff member
- Encourage students to get water and use the restroom while at this station and not actively hitting
- Have Fun! This is a great way to connect with the students while they enjoy the thrill of competition!
- Ask the JPS Staff Member (Coach Ignatius) about rule clarification or adjustments you would like to make,
