This is much faster than the traditional method, you have to be much more unique in order to stand out

- Taking advantage of easily swayed artists who don't care about money
- Sueing is common
- Record Label gives an advance to the artist to create the album
- Once the album is produced and is selling the label takes about 85% of all profit, aswell as deducting the advance and other costs involved
- This leaves the artist with a debt, that the artist who will try to have to solve this debt by creating another album, creating a cycle

- Originally music distribution was done physically via a distribution company and the record label
- In 2015, digital distribution took over physical
- Streaming services is what music is placed on today, then whenever the song is placed the artist gets royalties
- This digital approach comes with benefits such as reduced shipping time, reduced manufacturing time, low upfront costs, reaching a bigger audience, boosting profile and a faster money flow
