Join us at the library for Trunk or Treat on Halloween, Thursday, October 31 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. Bring the kids or sign up to bring your decorated car and treats to hand out. This year we’d also appreciate some volunteers who would bring games or activities for the kids. Please contact the library if you are interested in helping with Trunk or Treat. You can stop by during business hours (Noon till 6:00, Monday through Friday), call us at 715-229-2939 or send an email to director@owen.lib.wi.us. We are also happy to accept donations of individually wrapped candy or money for the event.

Lunch and Learn

For those 60 years and older, join us for a monthly get-together as we discuss interesting topics or try games and activities. Stay after for a delicious meal (60 and older) provided by the ADRC Nutrition Program. You must reserve your meal by noon the Tuesday before Lunch and Learn. You can reserve your meal by calling (715)743-5166. A donation of $4.50 per meal is appreciated. If you have questions please call Loralee at the Owen Public Library at 715-229-2939. This program is sponsored by the Owen Public Library and the Clark County ADRC.

Lunch and Learn will be held the 4th Wednesday of every month at 10:30 at the Owen Community Center (formerly the Senior Center), 112 E. 5th Street, Owen. The next Lunch & Learn will be October 23.

Looking Ahead

Santa Day

Santa Day is coming again to O-W high school on December 14. Watch for our table where we plan to sell library tote bags to raise money for a new roof. This is our fourth year of fundraising and we still have a long way to go toward the estimated $30,000 that we need. And if you buy a bag, you’ll have something to carry all your other purchases in! We’re still looking into pricing on the bags but will have more info soon.

Holiday Hours

The library is open Monday through Friday from noon until 6:00 p.m. Exceptions for the holidays will include:
