ARGONAUT ROWING CLUB
Visitors’ Use of Equipment Policy
Goal
To permit an insurance framework and a financial structure for visitors from out of town who wish to row occasionally.
Purpose
Occasionally, visitors from out of town visit Toronto and want to row. They should be permitted to row, assuming that they already know how to row and are a member of another rowing Club.
Applies to:
All people who are not members of the Argonaut Rowing Club who wish to use Club equipment.
Policy:
- Visitors must sign a waiver, using the Activity Waiver form on the ARC website (Policies page).
- Visitors must pay a fee of $30 per seat per outing that they plan to row. The fee should be made in the form of a cheque made out to the Argonaut Rowing Club and attached to the completed Activity Waiver and deposited in the Club office.
- Visitors may row any Club boat, provided that they can show skill in that boat as demonstrated to the Club official (Head Coach, member of Rowing Committee, Board of Directors or designate) who guides the visitor to the equipment.
- Visitors must read the ARC Rules and pass the ARC Safety Test (written).
- Visitors must obey all Club Rules, the by-law, Code of Conduct and Transport Canada Safety Regulations concerning equipment to be carried in the boat (all of which may be found on the ARC Website).
