STATUTE
GENERAL FRAMEWORK
- The PRISMA European Network, (hereinafter referred to as "PRISMA" or "the Network"), is a coalition of youth-oriented organisations across Europe and neighboring regions focusing on developing high-quality youth work, innovation, and collaboration through the use of new media technologies and international cooperation.
- PRISMA European Network operates as an independent and autonomous body unaffiliated with any political party or religious entity.
- The Network is legally represented by the GEYC Association, a registered Romanian non-profit organization headquartered in Bucharest, Romania. GEYC ensures the general management of the Network on behalf of all its members.
- The activities of PRISMA are based on the following core principles:
- Target Group(s): PRISMA's activities primarily target youth workers engaging with young people aged 18-30 years old focusing to address their needs and interests.
- Transparency: All public activities are documented and accessible through the Network’s website: www.prisma-network.eu and all social media platforms : Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Solidarity: PRISMA member organisations (MOs) commit to mutual support by:
- Sharing resources and expertise.
- Sharing ideas on their available communication platforms and offline whenever any activity or event takes place.
- Collaborate as a stronger and unified voice towards stakeholders.
- Promoting each other’s initiatives through online platforms.
- Professionalism: Members adhere to high-quality work standards and ethics, to be enforced through the following means:
- Complying with and adopting the EQYP 2.0 Standard of Quality
- Nominating skilled representatives fluent in English to take part on their behalf with regard to the Network’s activities.
- Maintaining timely communication within 48 working hours with the Network management team.
- Updating their online communication channels at least every 2 weeks.
- Getting involved in projects with a European dimension - at least one every 18 months.
- Proving the organisational capacity to link and cooperate with local and national stakeholders (NGOs, public authorities, mass media, companies, academic sector).
- Non-discrimination: Members commit to ensure the equality of chances and non-discrimination principles in all the activities in which they are involved.
- Objectives of the Network:
- Develop youth-focused activities using new media, innovation and digital tools.
- Facilitate the exchange of good practices and mutual support among its members.
- Advocate for youth interests towards various stakeholders, includingNGOs, public authorities, mass media, private sector, academic sector.
COMMUNICATION
- The Network’s official language is English, though local, national or regional events might be held in other languages. If applicable, translation to English will be provided.
- PRISMA communicates with its members and the public through its official online platforms:

- The main contact for internal and external communication is contact@prisma-network.eu.
- The main communication channel for internal communication among members is members@prisma-network.eu mailing list that the representatives of the organisation get access to directly disseminate their updates.
MEMBERSHIP
- The network member organizations shall fulfill the following criteria:
- Transparency:
- Maintain an updated website and active social media account, with updates at least every 2 weeks.
- Every project/campaign/event organised by a member organisation, which is relevant for the Network shall be reported to the PRISMA management team
- Every project/campaign/event organized by a member organisation, which is relevant for the Network shall display the “Member of PRISMA European Network” distinctive logo.
- Support:
- Actively contribute to share resources with other network members.
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to contribute to the work of the Network.
- The organization must agree to abide by the statute, rules and procedures of the Network.
- The organization must agree to follow the membership obligations, including contributing to the development and implementation of PRISMA programs, as well as sharing expertise and experience with other members of the Network.
- Capacity:
- The organization must be a youth-oriented organisation.
- It should specifically include education and/or European projects as one of its core objectives.
- The organisation shall have a constitution/statute to guide its operations and be registered or recognized in its country of origin.
- Have hosted an event within a European dimension (involving participants from at least 2 EU member states) in the past 18 months, and represented by at least one fluent in English contact person.
- Endorsement:
Obtain recommendations by 3 organizations from 3 different countries.
- The General Secretariat is in charge of checking the previous criteria:
- During the application process.
- On a regular basis (every 6 months) for the members.

Interested parties that fulfill the membership requirements are entitled to apply online for the “PRISMA European Network” membership. - Evaluation
Applications are reviewed by the General Secretariat within 30 days, following to which the applicants shall be informed of their application status. - Acceptance
The profile of the newly enrolled member should be uploaded to the PRISMA website and introduced to the audience via all available online communication platforms. - Right to appeal
I. Applicants are entitled to request a justification within 3 working days by replying to the notification.
II. Rejected applicants are allowed to re-apply after 3 months from the original application date.
- Membership Termination
The membership might be withdrawn under the following circumstances:
- Any member organization may withdraw their membership from the Network at any time by submitting a letter of resignation.
- The contact person (and after 30 days, the legal representative) is unable to reply to network emails.
- The General Secretariat decides that the member no longer fulfills the criteria.
- The member violates the Network statute.
- Misrepresentation of information during the application process.
- Actions damaging PRISMA’s reputation or relationships with stakeholders.
FINAL PROVISIONS
- This statute is public and its last version should be made available online.
- The General Secretariat is responsible for application reviews, periodical member evaluations and daily management.
- The Advisory Board is entitled to amend the statute having the obligation to:
- Make available online the latest version for all interested parties.
- Consult the Network members for major changes.
- Any claims (supported by relevant documentation), disputes, suggestions or recommendations can be expressed in writing, at any time, to contact@prisma-network.eu.
