• I have been coming to MCC since I was in high school, so over 15 years.

What do you enjoy most about the MCC?

• I think MCC is the best masjid in the Bay Area. It truly functions as a true community center rather than just a place for daily prayers. Some things that stand out to me are the quality of the programs offered here, the incredible talent pool of speakers and scholars we have access to, and communication/organization skills from leadership throughout the year.
• Despite living closer to other masjids, I choose to drive further and come to MCC during Ramadan and Jummah prayers.
• MCC offers so many classes, programs, and events that pique everyone’s interest.

What do you think can be improved about the MCC?

• Become the premier Muslim professional networking hub in Silicon Valley/East Bay. Create a structured network where Muslim professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and executives can connect through regular networking events, mentorship programs, and industry-specific groups to foster career growth and community.
• Launch a Muslim Leadership, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Academy. Develop a leadership program that equips future community leaders with skills in public speaking, nonprofit governance, civic engagement, and Islamic leadership, while also fostering innovation through mentorship, speaker series, founder meetups, and networking opportunities in AI, biotechnology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship.
• Expand counseling and family wellness into a branded institute.
  Establish a comprehensive Family Wellness Institute offering marriage preparation, parenting classes, mental health resources, financial literacy workshops, and specialized support for families at every stage of life.
• Develop a Muslim innovation and public policy center. Create a center that researches issues affecting Muslim communities, publishes reports, hosts policy discussions, and equips community members to engage effectively in civic and public affairs.
• Host an annual national conference that brings together faith, technology, medicine, and public service. Organize a flagship conference featuring renowned scholars and industry leaders to explore how Islamic values intersect with innovation, healthcare, business, artificial intelligence, and community leadership.

What kind of positive impact will you have on the MCC?

• One of the biggest reasons I'm running for the Board is because MCC helped shape who I am. I spent many of my most formative years here, beginning in high school. This community gave me friendships, mentors, and a sense of belonging that had a lasting impact on my life. I care deeply about MCC, and I want to give back by investing in the next generation.
• I believe our goal should be bigger than simply offering youth halaqas, lectures, or classes. Those are important, but our vision should be to create a community where young people genuinely love coming to MCC. A place where they choose to spend their weekday evenings because it feels like home—a place to play basketball with friends, study in a café or lounge, network with professionals, volunteer, learn, and grow in their faith.
• Young people are searching for friendship, purpose, identity, and role models. If we can provide an environment where they build meaningful relationships and feel connected to both Islam and the community, MCC becomes more than a mosque—it becomes a second home.
• I hope to contribute by mentoring our youth, leading young men's groups, organizing trips to sporting events and outdoor activities, creating competitive sports leagues and tournaments, and developing opportunities for mentorship, leadership, and professional networking. I want every young person who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, inspired, and excited to come back.
• If we succeed, the measure of our impact won't just be attendance at programs—it will be a generation of young Muslims who proudly say that MCC was where they found their community, developed lifelong friendships, strengthened their faith, and became leaders themselves.
