SSO Login via Okta on Snaphost AI

Snapshot AI users have the ability to configure a default Okta Identity Provider to power Single Sign On (SSO). This article details how to configure Okta as the primary Identity Provider to facilitate SSO with the Snapshot partner application.

Supported Features

• Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow - This authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to the application from Snapshot.

Requirements

In order to proceed with configuring login with SSO through Okta, you must:

• Have an account on Snapshot AI or create one on the SignIn page
• Have access to an Okta tenant
• Be an Okta administrator to that tenant

Configuration Steps

You will need to provide your Okta credentials to Snapshot AI and this is done in Snapshot  portal.  You can login here: https://portal.snapshot.reviews/login as a company admin, and once you have logged in, you will see the Integration menu item at the left hand side of the screen.

If you click on Integration, you will see a list of integration.  Please select the Okta and Connect:

You will now see a pop up form on the screen to to fill out:

1. In the Okta dashboard, navigate to Applications and then select the Applications sub-menu.
2. Click on Browse App Catalog and search for Snaphost AI and add this application.
3. In the Sign On tab copy your Client ID and paste it into the first field in the Okta Integration form in your Snapshot AI portal.
4. In the Sign On tab copy your Okta secret and paste it into the second field in the same form.
5. On the Sign On tab, there is a link to your OpenID Provider Metadata. Click on that link and it will display your metadata.  From the metadata, copy and paste your issuer URL and paste it into the URL field in the same form.
6. On the Snapshot AI form, click save, and your credentials will be saved.  You may edit/update them at any time.

SP-initiated SSO

1. Go to this URL: https://portal.snapshot.reviews/login
2. Use the third login option and enter your email address and click on “Login with Okta”
3. If you are prompted for your Okta email, enter them
4. If the credentials above are valid, you will be redirected to Okta login and will be logged into Snapshot AI’s dashboard.
