Skiing Lessons with Lemur  

If your child is signed up for skiing lessons, please bring him or her to the school parking lot (by the gym) at 7:45 AM. The bus will depart at 7:50 AM and return to school at 11:50 AM for lunch. The February dates for skiing lessons are: 2/2, 16/2, and 23/2.

ISB Ice Skating

Year 1 will join the primary and secondary divisions for ice skating lessons at the rink near Luzanky Park. Please note that Ms. Seema and Ms. Marketa’s group will remain at school for these lessons.

Chinese New Year

Kindergarten and Year 1 will come together in the morning to celebrate Chinese New Year. If your child would like to bring in something from home related to Chinese New Year (food, photographs, clothing, books, toys, etc) they are welcome to do so.

Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences

These short meetings will be partly led by the children to enable them to show what they have learned. We will post a sign-up sheet with time slots on the main KG bulletin board one week before.

   

Monthly Themes

 Year 1: ”Exploring the Past”            

This unit will look at what life was like in the past! We will explore the world of dinosaurs and speak about the tools that archaeologists use to learn about the past.

Bluebirds: “Transportation” 

This unit will focus on learning about different types of transport through songs, books, and hands-on activities.

Robins: “Transportation” 

We will learn about many kinds of transportation, particularly focusing on traveling by water by making various models of boats and submarines.

Museum of Safety

Year 1 did a fantastic job speaking about safety for their Summative Share!

     

     

     

Rockets and Stars

The Robins learned about outer space by creating stars and dressing up as astronauts.

               

VIDA! Science Centre

                     The children loved all the hands-on activities and had a blast watching an interactive science show.

 

 

Fun in the Snow

                      The Bluebirds loved building snowmen and making giant snowballs in January!
