2. The Village of New Paltz humbly acknowledges that we are on the traditional lands of the Munsee, Esopus, and Lenape people. The Indian Removal Act of 1830 forced the People to relocate to inhospitable territory far from the bountiful valley and mountains we inhabit today.

The village further acknowledges that much of the physical structure of our Village & Town was built by enslaved Africans, who labored as the property of their owners until 1827 on this very land.

We acknowledge and honor the contributions, resilience, and accomplishments of the BIPOC community (Black, Indigenous, and people of color), who have overcome historic injustice to inform our past and inspire our future.

The Village of New Paltz encourages everyone to learn more about the contributions and sacrifices made by the Indigenous People and enslaved Africans by visiting these sites. If you have resources that you believe should be included here please contact us. Thank you.

1. Mike Baden to attend the 2026 New York Planning Federation conference from April 19-21. The associated costs are $250 - conference fee + 2 nights accommodations at approximately $110-$120 per night

1. Contract VNP-241 Consent Order Compliance Sewer Remediation

1. Payment Application #8 FINAL  in the amount of $3,000.00 to H. OSTERHOUDT EXCAVATING, INC
2. Proposed Engineering Services Amendment in the amount of $4,500.00 for additional services related to design and contract administration of the extra work performed by the contractor at the Hasbrouck Place Pump Station.  
3. To Partease Productions for grant admin in the amount of $125

5. Approve the contract renewal with Peak Power for a 3 year term according to the service agreement.

6. *Authorize the Treasurer’s office to transfer Logan Zehr from the DPW to Parking as a temporary part time Parking Enforcement Officer at the rate of $23.00 per hour effective December 1 2025.

1. Declare the Local Law Creating the Village Manager position to be an action subject to the SEQRA regulations.
2. Finding that the action is classified as Unlisted.
3. Declare that the review will be uncoordinated and conducted by the Village Board.
4. That the negative declaration contained in the attached Short Environmental Assessment Form is hereby adopted (part 1, parts  2 & 3).
