MOVING BACK INSIDE SANCTUARY

We are carefully monitoring the improving Covid situation in Santa Clara County and the high rate of vaccination among shul and community members. The shul strongly encourage anyone who remains unvaccinated to take advantage of the wide vaccine availability. We expect the County to move to the YELLOW tier shortly which will permit indoor activities to resume with only limited restrictions.  Our current plan is to move back inside sanctuary in early June, about 5 weeks from now. This plan is subject to County guidelines and the continuing improvement of the overall situation. MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW!

ANNUAL CONGREGATION MEETING

This will take place on Sunday June 13, 2021 at 7pm in the Social Hall and outside courtyard. We encourage all members in good standing to attend. The new board slate will be elected and the current Executive Committee will give an update on the shul year and plans for the coming new board term. Thank you to Marvin Glazer for chairing the nominating committee for next year's board. Please contact Marvin if you have an interest in serving on the board or wish to make a nomination.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

- An especially big call out to Charlie Gallant who quietly and consistently supports Am Echad in so many ways with his generous donations of money, supplies and expert advice. We look forward to seeing Charlie back at shul very soon.

- Many thanks to Sima and Michel Rynderman for spearheading the effort to clean up the shul grounds including removing weeds and taking care of our shrubs and trees.

- Thank you to Gili Babash for arranging and paying for plumbing fixes at the shul and for hauling away all the clippings from the shul grounds clean up.

- A big thank you to Tal Buchnik for fixing, replacing and paying $1000 to fix the main water pipes in the shul basement.

- Thank you to Howard and Esther Rochel Klein and Marvin Glazer who have been removing and disposing of the large accumulation of shaimos (Genizah) at the shul.

- A special thank you to Asaf and Sara Bar Tzvi for donating a large screen that we will soon be using for the Shul electronic noticeboard.
