Food & Beverage Minimums
Monte Verde Inn has a flat site rental fee of $2,500.00 for weddings held on our property. Additionally, we require that our couple meet our couples pay no less than the minimum total expenditure (based on date popularity) listed below. This is not an additional fee. This figure represents the minimum dollar amount that must be spent (site rental fee + base package + beverage package + additions) in order to reserve your date. If you do not meet the minimum based on your package and guest count, a supplemental fee will be added to your final bill.

Insurance Policy
Monte Verde Inn requires that all of our clients retain a $1 Million General Liability insurance policy with $5,000 in medical, naming Monte Verde Inn as an Additional Insured. A certificate of insurance must be on file with Monte Verde Inn 14 days prior before the event. Additionally, please have your insurance agent and/or insurance company add your event “name” & event date in the notes.

Vendor Insurance Policy
Any vendors that are contracted into your event that are setting up heavy equipment & are working on property at Monte Verde Inn must provide their own valid insurance policy. This includes, but is not limited to, photographer, DJ, photo booth, videographer, florist, etc.
Patrons shall agree that all vendors hired that use or provide products and/or equipment must meet the Monte Verde Inn requirements that include but are not limited to providing their own proof of licensing and liability, workers compensation, and hired/non-hired auto insurance. Covering vendors under your own general liability insurance is not permitted. The Monte Verde Inn also prohibits said vendors from drinking alcoholic beverages while performing their duties. It is the Patrons responsibility to have said vendors provide and obtain the proper clearance from the Monte Verde Inn. Under no circumstances will friends or family be allowed to perform these duties without providing proof of insurance. Vendors that do not obtain clearance will not be allowed on the property.
Monte Verde Inn allows for clients to have flexibility when choosing a DJ for their big day. It is important that DJ’s are both professional and can perform all duties in accordance with Monte Verde Inn's policies & procedures. This will ensure that all events will run smoothly & efficiently. If you choose a DJ that is NOT from our preferred vendor list, your DJ must follow Monte Verde Inn's requirements in order to perform onsite. Along with your contract signing we have you sign the Monte Verde Inn DJ Requirements Contract. Monte Verde Inn has the right to refuse a DJ if the selected DJ does not meet the list of requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Monte Verde Inn have overnight accommodations? Monte Verde Inn does not offer overnight accommodations. We partner with local hotels which do offer room blocks at a discounted rate. We also partner with a local shuttle service to get to your guests safely to and from your event!
What is the deposit to book by desired date? We offer a complimentary 5 day courtesy hold for our couples after their tour of Monte Verde Inn. Once those 5 days have passed, we ask that you make your decision. If you decide to book, we ask that you pay 25% of your total event cost. The Monte Verde Inn’s Sales Manager will then create a payment plan with you.
Does Monte Verde Inn have site fees or facility fees? Monte Verde Inn has a $2,500.00 site fee which counts towards your event minimum.
What is an event minimum? The event minimum is the dollar amount that we require your event to spend in order to host it on that day. The minimums are based on date popularity. Ask the Monte Verde Inn Sales Manager for more information if you have further questions!
Does Monte Verde Inn allow outside catering? Monte Verde Inn does not allow any outside catering for events within our venue due to our provided in house catering. We do allow one cultural appetizer and one cultural entree to be brought in but they must come ready to serve. Monte Verde Inn can have no hand in preparing the outside dishes.
Can Monte Verde Inn accommodate dietary restrictions? Monte Verde Inn can make vegan, gluten free and dairy free meal options if needed. We simply require accurate counts of required specialty meals be submitted at your final meeting with your wedding coordinator.
Does Monte Verde Inn host rehearsal dinners? Monte Verde Inn does not host rehearsal dinners. The day before your event we will host a wedding rehearsal in which we walk through the ceremony with you, your wedding party and your officiant. This typically takes about 1 hour.
How many weddings can Monte Verde Inn do each day? Since we are all inclusive, we only host one wedding per day, ensuring that the site is private just for you!
What decor florals are provided in the wedding packages? We provide all of your guest table centerpieces, an appetizer table arrangement, two hanging sconces for our partition wall, a bar arrangement & a guest book table arrangement. If you choose, you may remove the bar and guest book table arrangements, you may have a floral garland for the sweetheart table instead.
What is the price difference between plated and buffet meal service? There is no cost difference between plated and buffet meal service. Monte Verde Inn wants you to have the service you prefer with no price restrictions!
How late can events go at Monte Verde Inn? Monte Verde Inn has a noise ordinance of 10:00 PM for outdoor weddings. For indoor events we can go until 12:00 AM.
Can wedding packages go longer than 5 hours? Yes! Monte Verde Inn offers additional event time for $800.00 per hour.
Does Monte Verde Inn host ceremony only events? No. Monte Verde Inn offers ceremony and reception or reception only.
Does Monte Verde Inn provide alcohol or a bartender? Yes! Monte Verde Inn offers different bar options for our couples: hosted bar, per consumption or cash bar. No matter what, we provide a bartender!
What is the venue's capacity? Monte Verde Inn can accommodate 220 guests in our outdoor space (typically May-October) and 80 guests indoors (typically late October-April).
Can I take leftover food home after the wedding is over? Due to health code restrictions, food is not allowed to be boxed up after the event.
Does Monte Verde Inn have getting ready suites? Yes! We have 2 getting ready suites available for our nearlyweds!
What is the arrival time for the getting ready suites? Access to the getting ready suites is 12:00 PM on wedding day!
Does Monte Verde Inn require event insurance? Monte Verde Inn requires that all of our couples retain a $1 million general liability insurance policy naming Monte Verde Inn as additionally insured. We also require that all vendors who work on the property provide proof of liability insurance. You can ask our Sales Manager or Coordinator for more information if needed!
Does Monte Verde Inn allow a “Send Off” after the wedding? Yes! We allow bubble exits, petals or glow sticks! We do not allow sparklers due to fire safety restrictions. Have another idea for a send off? Ask the coordinator!
Can I use real or fake petals for decor? We love to have real petals be used as decor throughout your event, however, we do not allow faux petals outside of contained decor items. Ask our Sales Manager or Coordinator for clarification if you are unsure!
Does Monte Verde Inn allow real candles as table decor? Yes! We simply require that all flames be contained in either a votive, lantern or hurricane vase.
Does my coordinator assemble my DIY centerpieces and decor? Your coordinator is responsible for the placement of all your personal decor. The decor just needs to be delivered unwrapped, stickers/price tags removed and assembled if necessary. Please discuss your decor with your coordinator for clarification.
Are animals allowed on Monte Verde Inn property? We love our furry friends but we ask that they only take part in your ceremony and remain on leash at all times. After the ceremony they must leave the property immediately and they are not allowed inside the getting ready rooms.
What does my day of coordinator do on wedding day? Your day of coordinator is there to make sure your event goes smoothly so that you can relax and enjoy your day! They set up all of your personal decor, liaise with your vendor team, organize the event staffing and help you stick to your timeline. They will also check in on you throughout your event to make sure you are having a blast!
