Spring marks the time to begin to channel and express our energy outwards. As energy begins to rise in nature, by riding this energy within us and gradually bringing it into an organised force, we avoid falling into lethargy or frustration and instead can open a creative cycle moving through spring and summer.
Channelling the rising and descending currents of energy through Heaven & Earth Qigong is designed to do precisely this. The H&E form enables us to open, organise and channel our energy through our right, left and microcosmic energy channels. In this way it awakens the core of our internal energy (the internal organs, spine, glands and brain) from its winter slumber and expresses it outwards into the world as a creative and balanced force.
En route we will: - Open and deepen our natural breathing
- Circulate the rising and descending currents of energy and dissolve energy blockages in standing energy postures
- Make use of spiralling energy including channel work for those who are familiar with it
- Greatly develop the use of the energies of "heaven & earth", naturally releasing artificial fixations and strengthening natural energy pathways
- Open and balance the energies in the tissues, joints, cavities, spine and internal organs (wood element)
- Prepare our system for making greater use of spiralling energies, which we will develop over the summer
