SSC Conduct and Sportsmanship Agreement

During our registration process, registrants are asked to view and accept our Conduct and Sportsmanship Agreement.
To the Parents, Fans and Players of the Slinger Soccer Club:
By signing/accepting the Slinger Soccer Club Registration Form, you as a parent, and your child, have entered into the Parent Code of Conduct and the Player Code of Conduct Agreement.
- Remember….in all we do…the game is for the kids.
- Remember…that respect for the game, the players, coaches, parents, and referees is expected.
It’s the least that we can do.
Parent Code of Conduct
Pure and simple…it’s the job of the parents to set a positive example. If not you…then who?
As part of the Code of Conduct, parents’ responsibilities include:
- Treat the game, all players, coaches, referees, and fans with respect on and off the field.
- Let the coach be the coach. It’s his/her job. If you have input for the coach, please address it with the coach before or after the game. During the game, it’s the coach’s job to coach, and your job to cheer.
- Support your team without denigrating the other team.
- Never yell at or touch the referee.
- Help the coach by making sure your son/daughter is at practices and games on time and is properly equipped.
- Discuss issues/problems/concerns with the coach, the Director of Coaching, or a Slinger Soccer Board member. Slinger Soccer Club reserves the right to accept or reject applications that are submitted.
- Assist with any fundraisers and volunteer when needed.
- It is your responsibility to keep up a full understanding of all rules and regulations, as rules may change from time to time. At any time the Slinger Soccer Club Board of Directors reserves the right to dismiss players or parents from the Slinger Soccer Club for inappropriate conduct, language and /or failure to abide by the rules and regulations as deemed by the Slinger Soccer Board or its affiliates.
Player Code of Conduct
As part of the Code of Conduct, players’ responsibilities include:
- Treat the game, all players, coaches, referees, and fans with respect on and off the field.
- Participate actively and cooperatively in all practices.
- Win with character and lose with dignity.
- Notify their coach, at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible, if they cannot make a practice or game.
- Know the rules and abide by the referee’s decision.
- Display appreciation for good performance, regardless of the team.
- Display good sportsmanship. No negative cheers or taunting of players or referees. No inappropriate language will be tolerated on or off the field toward any players.
- Unless arrangements are made with their coach in advance, players are expected to attend all practices and games, as specified by the coach. All potential conflicts need to be addressed with the coach.
Inappropriate behavior by any player, parent or spectator on the field will result in the following disciplinary action:
1st offense: Warning by Official, Head Coach, Board Member, or Head of
League/Organization.
2nd offense: Removal from game/field area.
(If you do not remove yourself from the game, your team will forfeit the game being played!)
3rd offense: One game suspension with written documentation of the incident kept on file.
4th offense: Season suspension.
