Why use a Glow Texture?
With the advent of Atramentum Luminis by Ny, it is now possible to have glowing eye, face, and body textures.
How do I set this up?
First, we need to create a glow texture. For this example I’m using a purple cracked texture I created on a transparent background. We use colour transparency to dictate how bright the glow will be. The more opaque, the more glow.

How do I get it in game?
First, you will need to be familiar with using FFXIV Loose Texture Compiler.
If you’re not, you can follow this guide for an introduction
here.

Next, simply assign your newly saved glow texture as shown below, and hit generate. Your mod will automatically be generated with glow information.

If you haven’t already, make sure you've both downloaded, and imported Atramentum Luminis, and make sure the mod exported by FFXIV Loose Texture Compiler is also enabled.

If everything has been set up correctly, you may be able to achieve any glow effect you desire. In the case of this tutorial, this is the end result with the glow texture that was used. Have fun!

Some people may have textures that have Atramentum Luminis support baked into the diffuse. In order to use these with Loose Texture Compiler you will need to extract the glow information using the following option.

This will extract and convert the Atramentum Luminis data into a glow map overlay the tool supports.
